Homeworld 3 - Combat Showcase 1: Hiigaran fleet overruns the Incarnate

A viewer recently asked me for a video that zooms into various ships to show how they work in combat. This is the first of two planned videos doing just that.

This is awesome!
Feels like a continuous feed of the battle at the beginning of SWep3.
What I'd like to see is some moments of vessels being converted and commandeered. I'll miss Marine Frigates.

The Incarnate Capture Corvettes seem to be continuations of the old Salvage Corvettes from Homeworld 1. I'll see if I can get some of them to behave in front of a camera.

The Incarnate have Capture Corvettes and the Hiigaran can capture ships using their resource collectors.

I don't think fired projectiles have ever been uglier up close. The 2d effects are glaringly showing during the dogfight at 4:14. Guess they've bet on people playing zoomed out at all times.

I didn't know what that was but I looked it up and it mentioned the effect it can have on the lifespan of solid state drives and CPU usage and game performance. Thank you for mentioning this I am unable to decide whether to get hw3 and that could be a factor. I had high hopes for hw3 I thought it would be a genuine and really epic RTS game but I dont know yet. Good vid the visuals are really nice. I didn't play the first hw games I missed out there but I do play deserts of kharak which also has really nice graphics. It looks lovely.
