This kind of show not meaningful. Instead of helping poor, they help those that lazy to housekeep their own house. After fix, will be the same after few month. Waste money
Don't always see & think superficially! The program helps people to see how to restore your house to a clean & safe living space, how to maintain tidiness if you don't already know, how to control buying non necessity. If you are still not happy, don't watch the program, go watch renovAid 😜

After I watch how messy their homes are, I become more motivated to tidy my house 😅
Their problem is that they add more things than they can remove. So it's a overconsumption (driven by what?) + hoarding problem. Both are psychological issues... Not necessarily laziness
