She did after Rumple gave her a glam spell and she found out what people thought of her and the aftermath of her massacre of the village that helped Snow. She embraced her evil queen persona and chose to have people fear her than love her.. "The queen is dead... long live.. the EVIL queen"
@@HawkinaBox same She is an amazing actress Is great to see her but all i see is the evil queen without her powers 😂😂😂😂 Rita is just another of her alter ego
@R P If you liked Desperate Housewives, you will like this. It's essentially that just set in the 1920's and only two main housewives Alma and Rita instead of the 5 desperate housewives had.
She didnt realize it before because she adore Rita so much and she's been broken about Rita words, while later in ending we saw the evil smile on her face when she realized her husbsnd is a killer
Me too. I believe that because the Evil Queen was a fairy tale character, she also became an exaggerated characterization to give that evil vibe. There were many threats that were not seen, exaggerated interpretations and Regina was a revolted young woman. No Rita, Rita is already a mature woman, who doesn't make empty threats and goes to the heart of the problem directly and solves what's getting in her way. She passes much more of the seductive and fatal vibe than Regina Mills, who still seems to have a crying child inside her. Rita doesn't need to make an effort to be that strong woman for everyone to be afraid of. Regina yes.
Unpopular opinion but I wished Regina Mills/The Evil Queen stayed as a villain in OUAT. Lana’s portrayal of Rita shows just how much the actress is good at playing the villain.
@@kachi2782 But Regina.. I mean, Rita said she was saving that bit of info for insurance... meaning she WOULD use it against her to keep her in line. In fact, Rita planted the thought in Alma's head and that's why she sought out Grace's fired housekeeper. Most of Alma's plans were a result of her wanting to BE Rita.. right down to her hair, makeup and clothes, on two occasions she wore the exact same dress albeit in a different size.
I’m assuming this is an anthology series so would I be right in guessing I don’t need to see season one to watch season two? There’s a part of me that’s thinking of just diving into season two, just because I love Lana Parell and I’m happy to see her in a role other than Regina (much as I loved the character, all good things must come to an end).
I watched season 2 before season 1 and it works out. I’d say season 2 has a darker tone and only one well thought out storyline. Whereas season 1 has 3 different storylines that all take place in the same house but in different years. And whereas season 2 gets to the murder straight away, season 1 takes its time developing it.
@@thejesscen season 2 is a LOT more killing, like every episode youre left like jesus another senseless killing? i think they wanted to really hone in on the "why women KILL" bc there wasnt enough killing in the first season, just jade, her ex, and beth anne's husband and none were innocents like in s2 where it was really shocking
She thought second time was a charm thinking she can manipulate the one and only iconic Regina honey you just wash yourself into a mousetrap you think you can manipulate her to get what you want nice try
-She came to softly blackmail Rita. -Rita turns the table and blackmail her back level hard. Alma put some innocent eyes and say: "Oh what a horrible person you are" Victimization at it's best.
Rita is a horrible person, though. Alma didn't start this beef. Nor did Alma say she was a victim. If anything Alma is being proactive about her situation. That is not victimization. Some of you don't know what that word means and it shows.
Lana missed OUAT so much, she didn't create a new characterization for Rita, she just used CTRL+C CTRL+V. For me who watched the series was great. But Lana needs to be flexible to other interpretations. But that vibe totally suits her. She looks beautiful floating in that seductive and fatal line, elegant, but that has another facet of someone who just wants to be loved. But I also believe that this recycling in the evil queen is the fault of the production that wanted to make these references on purpose.
This scene shows how naive Alma is. Rita has been at this a while. She knows how to cover herself. She knows the game. And Alma had to learn the hard way, if you’re going to black mail someone, be prepared for if they call your bluff. You cannot go off half cocked.
watch out for people in your life who don´t wanna be loved or admired. They cannot take compliments in a humble way. They look down on you for that. They put down. Cause they fear you. So they want you to fear them too. It´s not out of power. It´s their scared inner child that needs protection. They will never ever let anyone come to close to them. stop trying. They are a lost case.
And then queen Alma stabs her hah cry Rita fans xD Alma gets her happy ending, and Rita dies scared. xD tehehehe hohohohoohoho hahahahaah. Rita Dies and Alma gets what she wants and her daughter carries on with her life.. and well xD she watched her beloved die hehe. Meanwhile Almas husband sacrifoced himself for her xD Alma won.
"I don't want your admiration. I want your fear"
That is totally something Regina would say! And she prolly did at some point on the show lol.
She did after Rumple gave her a glam spell and she found out what people thought of her and the aftermath of her massacre of the village that helped Snow. She embraced her evil queen persona and chose to have people fear her than love her.. "The queen is dead... long live.. the EVIL queen"
One line she did say in the series was “it’s better to be feared than loved”
Hard to see her in other characters than Regina . Her attitude is so Evil Queen
Imagine grace is having an affair with Bertram, Alma's husband.
🤮
This scene gives me chills every time. We are definitely getting some Regina vibes again and I love it.
Since episode one
And is more evil queen than Regina😍
I’m so excited to see her again after Once Upon a Time.

Rita is pulling a full evil queen vibes here
Yes!! Like is Rita the cursed identity for Regina in this new land without magic?!

Now. Get. Off. My. Porch.

She's wearing the ✨rich widow robe✨
Love Lana to bits on this show, evil queen vibes are still going strong 😂
Since episode one
😂😂😂😂
This is another curse version
I'm kinda surprised she didn't rip her heart out and crush it to dust.
"I shall destroy your happiness (and your family) if it is the last thing I do!!"
Right??!
Rita lacks some soft “Alma energy” while Alma needs something that Rita owns - confidence. The irony.
Both will get in TROUBLE at the end 100%
Alma out here being jealous of Rita when we all know she knows her husband is a serial killer.
She didnt realize it before because she adore Rita so much and she's been broken about Rita words, while later in ending we saw the evil smile on her face when she realized her husbsnd is a killer
I’m more afraid of Rita than Regina

I've always thought Evil Queen wasn't evil enough but on this show, she sure is way eviler and way too mean.
amd she did all that without magic
I JUST REALIZED THAT RITA KNOWS ABOUT GRACE'S AFFAIR OMG
He she didn't use it against her, unlike Alma.

The reviewer from the AV Club was right: why didn't Alma wear that gorgeous coral number to the garden party?
Damn Rita went full Karen.

Rita reminds me a lot of Lady Demitrescu from Resident Evil 8
I would kill for that green peignoir. It’s gorgeous! ❤
