If you plan to do Lady Liberty/Ellis Island, try to catch the ferry early morning so that you can be back in Manhattan for lunch. Waaay less crowds! Also, while we don't have any scrapbooking stores here, see if you can pop into The Ink Pad. It's a tiny shop that sells mostly stamps and inks, but you can find a few other bits. It's a cute shop you might enjoy. Also, I always tell people to visit Dylan's Candy Bar on 3rd Ave cause it's a fun place, esp. if you've got a sweet tooth. Also, for you esp., visit The Strand. It's the largest bookstore in the city on Broadway and 12th Street. It's a nice old building filled with miles and miles of books! @@chloeprender You're welcome! And we do! We've got two Michaels in Manhattan. One in midtown on 22nd and 6th Ave and the other on 100th st...I don't quite consider them "scrapbooking" stores cause their sections are usually limited. Great for planners though! You might get some good Xmas scrapbooking goodies now too, now that they're starting to put them out...Also another rec esp. for planning/stationery is Kinokuniya on 6th Ave, right across from Bryant Park. Their downstairs has a great selection of Japanese stationary. Best stop for pens, stickers and the like!
It’s perfectly fine not to know what you want to do. It’s impossible to plan everything in your future and sometimes, opportunities come up that you are not even aware exist. That’s what I tell my young adult children. Enjoy that you have finished your master’s degree for a bit and take care of you. The rest will unfold as it should. I understand your nervousness about your trip. I was very anxious when our family visited Europe a number of years ago but it was a great trip. I would not have wanted to miss that! Jeannine

Don’t put too much pressure on yourself for the vlogs, at the end of the day New York could be once in a lifetime thing for you so living in the moment should be a priority and more important for you if that feels right at the time 😊. I’m planning to start a filming videos for my channel when I finish my seasonal job, and my first ones will likely be New York vlogs/vlog, so I’ve been watching so many lately 🙈😂. You can get so many New York tips from them though!! Also I recommend the Facebook group ‘NYC The place to be...’ group for some last minute tips for you, I’ve been finding this group so helpful for planning 😘 xx
I think you are at a lovely time of your life, exciting times ahead, wedding, new job prospects and planning a family, you are young and really there is no rush, just enjoy and take it as it comes xxx
We’re just back from our fourth trip to NYC, the weather was great...if you do anything, go on the citysight seeing bus, you can use it all day for as many days as you pay for, really helps you learn about the city n get your bearings

Totally random, but if you get off the bus at the flat iron building you can walk to Michaels and bath n body works
