  • Is it okay to be proud of your sloth? I'm mean, you're not greedy if you lust after this board game from Cool Mini or not! In fact, you'll be a glutton for punishment when you feel this game's wrath! Don't be vain, give it a try! See what I did there?

"Corruption check" sounds like a euphemism for a STD screening.

The things I love about this game:
    1. Can get through an entire "campaign" or story in a single night. This is great for me and my crew of young dads who suck at committing to long term campaign games.
    2. To go along with #1 I feel it allows for more open, risky play on the co-op side since it's only a single night investment. Other 1vMany games I've played I feel every move is super analyzed out of fear of screwing up a longer term investment, and often players aren't really deciding what they want to do with their character.
    3. The way the Sin player can vary their setup/abilities adds great replay value (of course having all seven sins brings this to its fullest value, but costs a good amount of money unless you backed it via KS).
    4. I feel the game moves along well and isn't overly fiddly, although some of the text can be confusing at times.

Really great review!!! I think this is something that I'm going to have to take a look at. Really looking forward to the Doom review as well. Can't wait to see your new reviews!!!

Great review! I love these types but keep wondering how varied they really get to be, so thanks for this one! Quick question though, you mentioned Doom, any plan to review? I didn't see it in the archive :)

I think they upped it to 6 dice per turn for Rum & Bones: Second Tide to make it play faster

With all these definitely cool one vs all partial "co-op" games coming out, I wish more of them would take time to get some app support in like with Mansions of Madness and now Imperial Assault so there doesn't have to be the one player that inevitably looses.

I enjoy many one vs. all games (Fury of Dracula is probably my favorite), and I don't mind that someone loses- that's the nature of most games. That being said, I really love how apps are increasingly being used to supplement games and the direction the industry appears to be heading with them.

I'm glad to hear you think so. Even if they don't get actual app support, there are other alternatives like what Scythe did with the Automata card-driven AI. Thankfully, with Lobotomy coming out later this year I don't have to feel too broken up about this.

Have you ever thought of ditching Shawn and going with that British Lamplighter from that TV commercial that hawks those outlet covers that light up when it gets dark? That guy seems very entertaining!

That British lamplighter is a poser! That guy is the worst! With that beard! If I ever meet him in person I'm gonna give him a piece of my mind! I hate that guy!!!
