Hey conner It would be great to have a levelling tree and a swap tree link for when we transition to Ignite, along with some notes on what to look for at different stages of progression. I found myself a bit confused and was worried about flipping between parts of the video during the launch, so having a clear guide would really help also, it would be awesome to see Mobalytics get their tree up as well with a basic outline to follow with starting skills and stuff.
All I do is test and validate creator builds…. When I’m actually pushing my league I use a Connor build. Yes that says a ton. I def agree with you. I am def hoping we will eventually have or rather POE2 will have something analogous to his Mjolnir build as well. That’s a staple for me as well. Iirc Steve and Rudy use d his builds as a base to push those deep delves. I could be off on that but if true that says a lot about how sound his theory crafting is. 😊
It's mildly amusing that all the PoE1 players who have been breaking the game forever just had a sudden character change and don't want too anymore. I understand no leaks, but the idea of at least trying to not somewhat prepare is crazy. Especially because folks are really vocal about how if you try and go fast, you'll just burn out, wild times. Hopefully it just means we can build wealth for Early Access and really be able to test stuff out.
Ever since I saw this dude's Delve video, he has been my go to PoE content creator. I prefer niche content creators over people who try to talk about every single thing in the game.
Connor is a GOAT. Doesn't seem to get himself involved in really dumb drama, consistently picks out where the meta is going for the 1%, and spends the time to prove it himself.
Thanks Conner, new to PoE and completely clueless on all this so this definitely gives me a direction to go. Came here after watching Rob's video. Subbed and liked thanks again. Go warrior Nation 💪
Dont go stealing the build now and making a video about how you came up with it because you changed 2 points like you do in D4, actually if you do something like this you can be sure you will start to get copyright strikes, I can get you 3 strikes pretty fast, youve been warned.
On poe2db I saw that a lot of mace skills now have support for dual wielding, including hammer of the gods. I think I’ll use giants blood and a shield for some skills and then swap to the dual wield whenever the skill allows it
Hey, correct me if iam wrong, but since conversion works differently in poe2: After you convert 75% of your damage to fire damage nodes like 12% phys as extra fire would only affect the remaining 25% phys dmg, so not sure if those nodes hold a lot of value.
@@butzer18 No, that would just mean you don't deal any non-fire damage, you can still convert from non-fire. I suspect that you can still additively convert with Avatar of Fire and also still benefit from phys-as-extra but this will need to be checked in game.
With this set of gems, there is only one mechanic (infernal cry) turning the (very large) physical damage of Hammer of the Gods into fire damage. It is the size of the fire damage that is key for both triggering ignite, and the size of the ignite effect, (admittedly in conjunction with other multipliers from the tree and elsewhere). Could you explain in your next video exactly how you ensure the fire damage part of Hammer will be so large? (I found the answer, Avator of Fire on the tree converts all non-fire damage to fire but at a 25% discount)
is there any way to make a secundary weapon hammer of the gods build for gemling? i am a noob but i am interested to build full granades and secundary hammer of the gods
In the description of your weapon (mace/hammer), there is a strength requirement that needs to be met in order to use it. In order to use this 2H weapon in one hand, you’ll need 3 times the strength requirement (in the weapon description) to wield that weapon in one hand. In other words, Giant’s Blood doesn’t automatically grant you the ability to use a 2H weapon in one hand. You need triple strength requirement of that weapon you intend to use.
Thanks for the guide. I would spec Hulking form and Stun nodes instead for even MORE dmg. My plan is to have on swap 2 Two-Handers and using Hammer with it so you get dmg bonus from Both weapons. To clear trash 1 Two-handed + shield. May be using Totem for it. What do you think about Cast on Stun setup? Some shock skill and Vuln curse in it, maybe even goin crit for Hammer, removing Resolute and having Mark that add crit dmg. Not sure yet if i go ignite or bleed. Your thoughts on bleed? What do you think about bleed instead of ignite? And overall about Stun stacking?
In addition i found that there are +2 max totems on tree. So could be an option for mapping and bossing aswell. Consistant damage while dodging and faster way to build stun?!
No attributes on Hulking Form, because: Small Passive Skills are Passives that are not Notables, Keystones, Ascendancy Passive Skills or Passive Skills where you can select an Attribute.
Hammer of the gods is a tier 13 gem, it might be really late game where you can get it. You think volcanic fissure would be ce to level with until then?
so i "roughly" came up with a tree that has 286 str and 13%inc str from the tree, then if you have 30str on most pieces of RARE gear you can get up to 526 str with all of it combined, and then you need additional *110str!* to weild the 212str requirement endgame mace with this trippled giants blood. how on earth are they thinking we suppose to find so much strengh?
You should look into Armour Breake nodes at first. But we dont know "numbers" how how good is it. And if you plan to go with totem, maybe some other nodes. Anyway you can respec later. And may be go for bleed, not for ignite.
Trying Grenadier with Hammer since I already take area damage, attack, AOE and cooldown recovery. Will try to split trees so grenades do not get affected by reduced attack speed.
what does it actually mean: "while dual wielding, both weapons hit with 30% less damage" ? Because I initially thought, you just have one big hammer falling from the sky. Or do we have 2 hammers because dual wielding? So confused
You only get 1 Hammer ( unless your chronomancer and Reset the Cooldown ) , didnt know there was a Dual Wielding ( 2 Weapons ) Penality in poe2 . Weapon and Shield dosnt count as Dual Wielding
For skills that incorporate weapon damage, in a dual wield scenario, it's going to clip 30% of the weapon damage that your two weapons would have contributed when factoring how much damage your skill ends up doing.
I may be wrong but it seems quite simple math to me. Hammer of the Gods would calculate its damage from both weapons if dual wielding. Except, it would take them at 70% of their value. Instead of hitting for 200%, it'll hit for 140% compared to single wield.
I'd bet good money that it does. It's basically a 4 cost node since you have to pay through the additional inventory ascendancy first, so it would be terrible if it didn't.
You put a lot into block, but one of the warbringer ascendancy nodes implies that a Titan only has a chance to block when their shield is raised. Is that right?
@@eduardfalos7463 I did some research and apparently POE2 is going to have both active blocking (shield raised) and passive blocking which is always active, from your stats. If that's true then this approach makes sense.
Can someone explain how ignite chance works? There's literal chance to ignite on the tree, and then what? Does the hit dmg itself and its magnitude contribute to the chance to ignite as well? Like, if you pick up 0 chance to ignite nodes, can you still ignite with big hits?
@@ravenatnm Thanks for answering but that's not what I meant. In PoE 1, you need chance to ignite for a fire hit to ignite, or a crit. I was asking how it works in PoE 2, and if you actually need chance to ignite, rather than the chance to ignite being based on the magnitude of the fire hit vs the ailment threshold of the mob.
@niuage I don't think we know the numbers yet so no one knows how much chance to ignite you'll have at various tiers of hammer damage. So you might have to pick up a few ignite chance nodes to get to 100%
@@adalos1953 Right, but was my assumption correct that with a big hit you can ignite without chance to ignite? that's what I want to know essentially :) It seems like you can from what you said.
