Polish the crankshaft. Check the main bearings and replace the rod bearings for sure. Looks like a nice engine. There is an indication of moisture in the oil. Thanks for sharing. Take care, Ed.
Bearings are not exactly round. They get thinner at the sides where the cap meets the block. Plasti-gauge the old bearings. If memory is correct i think low- high spec is .0015-.0022. for 5w30. My clearances are .004, but I build all my engines to run on 15w40 with stock volume pump. Extra clearance also allows for the crank to flex without touching the bearings. It looks like your at .0035. get some plasti-gauge and see. Ive seen magnum block with 340k and still see the crosshatch when torn down. 👍👍
@@Mynextproject_74 My buddy has a set of mopar magnum aluminum heads and a air gap for mag heads. There is not much for choices when it comes to bolt on intakes. Look forward to seeing how they both go together.
@@wildrosegarage4208 that's a big part of the reason I am going with LA aluminum heads so I can use an LA intake! Magnum stuff ain't easy to find. I did get an air gap intake for the Magnum in my son's truck, but they show unavailable now.
If I saw what I think I saw your #3 bearing/ thrust bearing also had that ghost line as well, I might want to look at all the rod bearings but mains look real good, I'd definitely run those. 👍👍

Thanks so much for your input! I really appreciate it!
@@Mynextproject_74 You're welcome.
Let me know if I can help.

Man that crank looks nice. I never would have guessed it from how dirty that block looked on the exterior.
Yup, she was fresh out the farm truck!
that will be cool eng for the duster Ride on
Thanks! I'm hoping it turns out!

Thanks for the info! I have some Plastigauge for when I reassemble it. I'll make sure I measure!
Cool project looks like a great candidate for the build.
Thanks! I hope it's as good as it seems!
Looking good. I would check the rods but looks runable to me.
I kinda think that's what I'll do! Thanks for your opinion!
Awesome man! Myself and a buddy will be building a 360mag for a 59 Studebaker lark. Maybe we can help each other out. I have never dug into one.
Absolutely! I'll probably have a pair of heads that I won't be using! I'm going to attempt to drill them for an LA intake. I'll help any way I can!
