    "I've gotta build some table and shelves and some shit". Love Dylan.

    Dylan beat Weberman up on Elizabeth street soon after this. "There's a lonesome bell tone in that Valley of stone and laughter down on Elizabeth street. It felt out of place, my foot in his face, but he should have stayed where his money was green"!

    This guy is a jerk to Bob! Man he is a bottom feeder and kind of crazy obsessed with himself! Meaning, he has latched onto Bob as a means to promote his obsession to investigate and write about Bob. He seems completely apathetic about Bob’s feelings or situation! No empathy but only manipulation! It is a type if harassment imo!

    Anyone who takes pride in rooting through people's garbage definitely has a screw loose. If someone actively shuns a public life, it means they don't want you to look into their private life.

    Didn't Dylan eventually deck this guy in the street after being stalked for a little too long. It's bizarre that Bob even engaged with the guy. Maybe he thought he was a legit journalist. I don't really know the whole story. These interactions are very strange.

      I think you have to consider the times. They didn't have the paparazzi issues that plague stars today. I think Bob was just a straightforward kind of guy.

    • @AnthonyMonaghan
      @AnthonyMonaghan 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@noeljames7170 I think he still is a straightforward kind of guy. Part of the reason he ended up in New York was because people like him or John Lennon, could live there and walk the streets without being harassed. Bob lucked out with Webberman, but not as much as John lucked out with Chapman. This could have ended a lot worse for Bob. I wonder what happened to Webberman. Cheers

      Weberman wrote seriously about Dylan in the late 60s and claims to coined the term Dylanology. So, Dylan was initially willing to engage with him but it quickly degenerated into nonsense. What's hilarious is the guy is still around in his 70s ranting about how Bob Dylan is a cryptonazi etc.

    The funniest part of the tapes was when Dylan said his wife was gonna hit him. I always wondered if it was just a joke or if his wife really knocked him around.

    the best part about this is that there were NO LAWSUITS INVOLVED. Dylan took matters into his own hand. That’s called CHARACTER

    No wonder Bob backed away from giving too much away to the press. He was then accused of being a recluse. Rather, Bob said, "I'm not being reclusive, I'm exclusive"

      Considering John Lennon got shot and George Harrison got stabbed multiple times, Bob was correct in distancing himself from the plebs.

    There are " many, many excellent songs on Nashsville Skyline and expecially Self Portrait albums than Dylan relies". I love both those albums. This guy Webberman is a jerk. He won't print this. Your great Bob Dylan, I don't know who this goes to, but Dylan is good.
