When I first played Halo CE I though it took a page, or maybe even a chapter out of this ever awesome game~! As in bungie saying, "you know we should make a game like Blaster Master where you can drive and explore to your hearts content. be able to get out of the vehicle. YEAH, that sounds like a win~!!!" I love BM and Love DJ Axis for this, Thanks ArtificialRaven for this and for making the Zip files available~! ..X..
Man, I had the strangest craving to listen to star fox music the other day, and today it was blaster master. Thanks for posting the great remixes. I'm not happy with the midi version of the music I can find. In some of the levels I have to question the skill of the player though and wonder how that person got to the end without cheating. Especially the water level... You had to be so careful not to die in that and at some points would have to spend 10 min picking off peons to get health.
Sorry, I didn't read far enough on your description. The remix you used was produced in that order so you had no choice but to sequence your video with it. The song (remix) was made in non-sequential order, but it was cool. Thanks again!
Man, the theme for Area 3 is SO 80s dance! I just imagine this music playing in the club, everyone's having a good time... then Arnold walks in and starts blasting everybody.
Bah, ignore the guy Raven. I still have trouble beating this game in the two-continue limit it gives you after Area 4. Especially at the last Area. Your vids still kick plenty of ass.
@aolish Very true, it is one of the best! And yea you have to complete it in one day, so what I did was play it straight for 2 to 4 hours a day learning where to go and not to go, and I completed this game in 5 days
Thanks for the music! It's damn awesome. I'm thinking of using it when I remake this game :D I'm a programmer and I've been thinking of remaking this game since it was my first favorite game and it's still awesome. And it's not that complicated as well ^^
Well... there IS Blaster Master Overdrive. Many of the tracks have had an overhaul, and mostly in a good way. There are a few exceptions, though. Still, in the end we DID get what we asked for. :)
My friends were convinced that Area 2's BGM was just like the theme from Airwolf. Now that I've listened to them back to back... they aren't so different.
This game wasn't easy back in the days. The game was insanely long with no save feature, not even a password. A person had to complete this entire game in one sitting. And thats near impossible to do on the first couple of tries since every stage was hidden throughout the game. It was trial and error. Combine that with only limited amounts of continues and you had one of the most challenging games that was ever released on the NES. This was one of the best games to ever get released on the NES.
Stage 6 and Stage 7 and 8 (creepy!!) music are my personal favorites. This game was way ahead of it time as far as NES standards go. One of the best games on the system. Sucks that all the Sequels kinda killed the franchise off. The Gameboy Blaster Master Boy was a clone of Robowarrior AKA Bomberman King (NES) but was good in its own way. The only Good Blaster Master Remake was the one the PS1 Blaster Master Blasting Again. Maybe we will see another one some day? -j
Actually i survived the whole game (in those days) without use any continue or lives, the problem was the final boss, he always pawned me. But yeah, that game was the shit, it had awesome graphics, bgm and gameplay. Actually it's one of my all-time favorites.
Artificialraven, this is really good. I'm just wondering why you introduced the areas in a non-sequential order. But hey, this is really awesome, I enjoyed it.
That was amusing. When I was fighting the plutonium boss I had to take a break, to rinse off some sweat, so I let my mom play. I thought it would be funny if she beat him as I was splashing water on my hands and face. Right after that thought, my mom said she was kicking his ass. I went back into my room and she had him pinned in the upper right hand corner and was grenading the hell out of him. It only works with turbo or auto-fire as it's now called. Don't mess with my mom :-D
If you guys knew the reason DJ Axis(And the others) left screw attack, you would be appalled. Screw attack taking down the links to the music makes sence, keeping up its duchery-ways and all. ..X..
gotta lure the "whip" guy to either one of the bottom corners of the room, he cant walk to the wall, so you can grenade his ass in the corner and he cant reach you or aim his whip
I agree, stage three is the best but I think all tracks needs much more work. they are kind of plain, needs more instrument and depth. at stage two, I really love the original song and I hope you will remake that one cus its really not good. make the lead tune stronge and cut the lame electric guitarr like instrument. and try out stage one cus its the best song in the game :) thanx othervice for great work :D
The thing about Overdrive is its NOT BLASTER MASTER - its a good game in its own sense, i'll give it that, but it was pissing me off till i finally just kept telling myself "its another game its not blastermaster" There will never be another blastermaster, what was once so epic cannot be redone. GOD this game was hard as a kid lol
I so loved this game. I played it a lot as a child. Like some others said, it was trail and error back in those days. I used to enjoy naming the levels with my friends. 1 - The underground/underground forest 2 - Sunken castle 3 - Circuit world/Inside a computer 4 - The sewers 5 - Underground ocean/sea 6 - Ice warehouse 7 - Lava caverns 8 - Alien lair Ah, childhood imaginations and one of the best games of the NES era. :)
I can't tell you how much joy these RRemixes give me.
This is my favorite NES game of all time.
Anytime it is icy outside the stage 6 theme song is generally reverberating through my head (starts at 2:30)
I'll never forget the first time I beat this game. It's nothing short of amazing what they accomplished back then.
Awesome. thank you for this. One of my favourite games as a kid. So many good memories.
0:00 - Area 5
1:23 - Area 2
2:31 - Area 6
4:24 - Area 3
6:52 - Area 7 and Final Boss
I'm really digging the dirty, gritty feeling synth melody of area 2, and the bass is spot on as well!
I love how you worked the "Boss Alert" sound effect into the Area 3 theme.
When I first played Halo CE I though it took a page, or maybe even a chapter out of this ever awesome game~!

if you go to the site, there's a menu on the left side. Somewhere in there , theres a button that has Retro Remix written on it.
Nice music overall. I commend your efforts on slaying boss 5 at ease.
Its sad that Axis randomly just decided to stop doing Retro Remix. Ive looked forever to try and find a place to DL all of these
@missdeona
you are correct, you are referring to stage 4. AKA... sewers and water caverns.
@aolish
Very true, it is one of the best! And yea you have to complete it in one day, so what I did was play it straight for 2 to 4 hours a day learning where to go and not to go, and I completed this game in 5 days
EDIT: You're right it's the music for Area 7. But It's also the music for the End Boss in Area 8.
Great remix of a game I have loved since it came out.
Thanks for the music! It's damn awesome. I'm thinking of using it when I remake this game :D I'm a programmer and I've been thinking of remaking this game since it was my first favorite game and it's still awesome. And it's not that complicated as well ^^

GREAT JOB!!! That is awesome... You didnt over do anything, unlike most people who try. Definatly a 5 star.

The best game, the best melodic music!
Stage 6 and Stage 7 and 8 (creepy!!) music are my personal favorites.

@Darkdragynxi you could kill the yellow giant boss in mega man by hitting him with one electric beam and rapidly pausing
my favorite nes game
So good!

This game needs a serious remake!!!! don't suppose a remake of the 1st stage music will ever come out?
@nyvelion
You've wathched too many TAS-videos... The playing was good/decent in any case.
The second stage song. Which was song two, actually.
Totally banging. Dug the techno metal riff.
Massive + points actually

How could you not have the main theme in here?
Try The OCRemix Version of Stage 6 "Fear my Lowering Coefficient of Friction."
Great!!!
gotta lure the "whip" guy to either one of the bottom corners of the room, he cant walk to the wall, so you can grenade his ass in the corner and he cant reach you or aim his whip
@aolish I never beat it, I think, I'll find a Rom and finish it someday!
+ points for DJ Axis
And i bet noone ever beat this before without doing the bomb cheat. The ice boss is insanely hard without it, GL with that lol.
Where did you find the music? I went to the site (good advertisement for them!) and couldn't find it.

NES rules!!!!
I so loved this game. I played it a lot as a child. Like some others said, it was trail and error back in those days. I used to enjoy naming the levels with my friends.
1 - The underground/underground forest
2 - Sunken castle
3 - Circuit world/Inside a computer
4 - The sewers
5 - Underground ocean/sea
6 - Ice warehouse
7 - Lava caverns
8 - Alien lair
Ah, childhood imaginations and one of the best games of the NES era. :)
The only game where you can pause the game and Kill a boss!
Can i get the artist of the song? (if you still remember it
Milly Rainbowskittlez nevermind xD i was a dumbass and didnt wait til the end of the song.
nice covers but this gameplay is totally igniting some nerd rage in me.
You had to be a madman to beat this game without game genie
i never knew the bomb cheat lol i beat it str8t up back in the day on the nes
Bruh that last song was level 7
give me a 3ds version of this game and i will be nintendo's little bitch for years...
yeah, we definitely need another installment on the series or a remake of the classic
+nick hoy
The original is out on 3DS. There's also the excellent Blaster Master Overdrive on the Wii shop.
blaster master zero on nintendo switch and 3ds
Area 8? I thought it was Area 7.
Sound a bit like cave story
