    Living the dream Zach. Your experience of village life is much like my experience with Pim’s family on the farm in Cambodia. The villagers were lovely and the family could not have made me feel more welcome. It was like going back in time 80 years. Doing the bucket bath with cold well water is perfectly normal there and after a day in the sun in Cambodia I admit it felt great. I’ll be in Jomtien full time in January so I hope if you remain long term we might swing a trip to Siem Reap. Very affordable. Our own on-call tuk tuk driver for 24 hours a day ($20/day). Lovely city and I’ll bet Pim would enjoy a trip with Kai and you. Please tell her Pim said hello. Best wishes to you out there in the boonies!

      It's a different way of life than I'm used to but I'm really enjoying my time here and hope it can continue in the future. A trip to Siem Reap would be great. Definitely in the cards. I'll let Kai know Pim says hello! Enjoy these last few months of your career!

    Long may you stay happy as you are, we need some coin too live but so many live for the coin. I choose the former, life is for living and living with happiness and being content with what you have makes you richer 👍

    Interesting new channel! hi from Buriram!!!! Village life is great! There's definitely i think 4 to 1 value living in the village or Thailand vs. USA, but the cultural and overall lifestyle value is even greater.........Try some issan food for sure!

    Are you in an area that has tigers or leopards? Looks amazing! Are you planning on pretty much living there for a while as in more permanent?

      I don't think so. Its beautiful. Monsoon right now. One rooms flooded and the bathroom is leaking around the light fixture. Hopefully it let's up soon. Depends on how everything plays out. I'll need to sort a long-term visa after the new year if I want to stay longer term

    Hey Zach,. Whats your visa situation? Do you have to go on a visa run every so often? Im thinking of moving to Thailand from the USA and was curious about the visa situation/requirement

      I'm on 60 day tourist visa right now. I can extend that 30 days then I have to leave the country. I'll probably go to Vietnam after that for a couple weeks.

    Cool update. What's the toilet situation there? 😮😅

    • @SavageTraveling
      @SavageTraveling  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question... One squat toilet in for granny and then a separate private bathroom with standard toilet and shower with hot water

      Not bad! Relax and enjoy the village life. Would like to see Kai around her family a bit. Maybe next time granny cooks up a meal, you can film it.

    Be cheaper to go to Cambodia from where you are
