I do not struggle with my weight. I found this video interested. Therevare many people who don't walk at campgrounds which has always been strange to me. Struggling to.walk with the weight of laundry I give you credit. True hiker culture is to be encouraging on the trail with other hikers. I didn't know what to make of it when I first encountered it. I believe most people are sincere when.offering support to other hikers.
Thanks! Yes, I was really surprised how few people actually WALK around campgrounds. Oh well.
Thanks for your honesty. I so love that you are bringing an unspoken issue out into the open and opening a path for others to follow. Totally inspiring!
Aw I really appreciate that! Thank you
Nice video, happy travels!
aw thank you so much!
Older woman here and you have a message for people to hear! I grew up in the time when fat people could not be in shape. I was a kid and believed. It took a huge toll on my life, with me not doing, not going, believing I shouldn't even try. No matter if it you or a grandchild ...whoever, please challenge them with "yes you can"!! Look at you! You are the story. ❤
Aww that's so sweet of you to say! I'm sorry people misled you. Really appreciate the kind words!
Your posts are always so honest and forthright! Thank you!
Aw I'm so glad you liked it! I figured I'd do an episode since I wondered about it A LOT before I hit the road.
Thank you for this video. I had been ruling out radius showers due to my overweight size, but now I will consider at least stepping into one to see if that configuration will actually work for me.
Yes, get in there and give it a try! It's not roomy but definitely doable.
I'm so glad I could help! It's tough to find realistic RV info for larger folks.
Honestly, I have really always wondered this. There are MANY overweight/obese folks RVing that I see. It is difficult enough being young and sprite. 😮
hahaha fair!
I think it definitely depends on your level of health and fitness while overweight (which truly does vary among heavy people).
We have had a blast! But we're also very adventurous, resilient people and Justin is extremely handy.
Thanks for watching! Glad the episode topic was interesting.
I definitely wondered about it before I hit the road.
XXL and beyond people can get more room while travelling by requesting handicapped accommodations if no actually physically disabled people claim those accommodations.
Interesting! We never pursued that (didn't need it) but that's good info to know.
Wait, why can't fat people go horseback riding? Asking as a "normie". Seems like most of history horses had to carry riders, supplies, and armor so that even a modern day fat person of around 500 lbs should be easliy accomodated if they're not going to war. What am I missing?
Oh a lot of the places set up for travelers/tourists to do these kinds of activities will place rider weight limits (cruise ship excursions are notorious for it, as an example).
It's their prerogative. Whether it makes sense or not, it's fairly common.
I also did a quick search just now and apparently it's breed dependent. And a lot of farms have weight limits of 200-250 lbs
Not a horse expert or anything, but I would imagine that warhorses are a different breed than what people have on most farms.
Essentially in many former periods, if a 4 year old horse was broken(trained to have a rider) they could just carry the stuff across the country for a year - say that horse got lame and you couldn’t use it? A family could eat it or barter it for a useful horse that could last a year. Horses today are not used and traded like that, they are VERY expensive to maintain so any tiny injury will cost people thousands of dollars. Horses live to about 30 so 4 is very young and fit. Usually any show barns or riding lessons or beach rides will have horses age 10-20 and by those ages they’ve undergone colic, shoe issues, leg issues, puncture wounds, etc. so the owners have invested a ton into them and it’s not worth a $50 ride sale to risk even the tiniest injury or lameness
Thank you! That's really interesting.
