Another brilliant video Dom! One of the things I love so much about it is that as a newbie, this helps me to educate my ears and understand the order of the process to improve the way the vocals sound with everything else that's going on in the track. And I appreciate that you use that particular song to work with - I love the song anyhow but I'm familiar with it now and can more fully appreciate even subtle changes that you make on it. You're a great teacher! Very grateful and appreciate all your time and guidance Dom! 👍
Thanks for this very helpful video. I like how you smile after every tweak that makes it sound better. It's all about training your ears to detect those very subtle changes even though not very noticeable they do make a difference. Keep up the good work👍
You are killing me Dom... I fight my self to stop using big chains on vocals (generally stop to overdoing it with audio editing stuff) and you are coming with a video like this... Come on! 🤪
I'd have to watch it again, I got lost where you used the other compressor for the parallel compression trick. The interface too. But thanks champ, we need more people like you in the world
Hey Dom, been watching for a few years now, and I like your content. Its really second to none for Cubase info, and ideas such as this video. I'd really love it if you would cover some metal and heavy rock one day. There is a huge market for that stuff, and hey maybe even you will learn a new trick or two!
lol your face at 24.14. 🤣 Amazing video as always Dom, excellent presentation of the key points and how you achieve a superior mix. I think I know a great deal about mixing, but always learn a lot from your videos. You're truly a great and generous educator. Would be great to see a series of in-depth FabFilter videos - the official ones are too fast and quite difficult to follow.
Thanks for uploading this vid man! You've done a great job explaining each steps of your chain for new audio engineers (or without any experience/studies in audio engineering) to understand. I'm new to vocal mixing and this helps me alot while mixing my upcoming rnb song (shameless plug intended :)). Def subbed, keep up with the quality content!
It's easier to understand if you look at your regular compressor as a full band compressor, where your entire signal gets compressed! So it's only natural that if you tame/even out everything that needs to be tamed on the eq, your compressor will do a better job! Because you've already done a bit of the compressing on your eq (in which you are targeting specific frecuency areas) ;D
It seems there is no option to use Mouse Wheel for Zooming Vertically in Cubase, I think that would be more efficient than G and H, but I really appreciate your help (G and H) Dom, thank you so much! I hope you have a great day! EDIT: I'm watching Club Cubase live now and I asked Greg through the live chat if there is an option for that, he said he requested this feature too in the past, but he doesn't know either why it's not implemented yet (Vertical Zoom using Mouse Wheel short-cut-option). I hope for the best for some future versions of Cubase will have that anyways :). Thanks again and have a great day!
Great tutorial Dom! Your cross section of FabFilter plugins really opened new doors for me in understanding how to use them in a mix 🎙 Also, what a cool synth production studio you've got there 🎹 Many thanks from Finland 🙏
Hi Dom, another excellent Video, thanks a lot. I am doing a lot of voice-over and maybe many of your followers. What do you thank about making a Video about a vocal chain for speakers/narrators? But of course with Plugins of Cubase 12? Kindest regards from Austria, Robert
Thanks always learn a lot I have FF suite but also have TAIP . would you prefer One or the other of these 2 saturations plugins for mort vocals or not? Be interesting to know whats you most preferred vocal chain using a choice of ANY brand plugins. Do you ever use external compressors on the way in? Maybe youve already covered this in other videos Im new to your channel and love it. very impressed. Thanks so much
Hi Dom I hope you are doing good. Thank you for good working i appreciate your efforts. Could you please explain how to use input transformer in Cubase 12 because i haven't deal with it before to configure a multi midi output Vst plugins such as InstaComposer.
Can you do a version similar with a Male voice, or multiple voices...? I notice you always use the same female vocal loop on almost everything....any particular reason? Thanks for your suggestions Like your videos!
He has to be the owner of whatever vocal he uses so that the AI doesn’t hijack his ad revenue and divert it to someone else (not to mention the copyright strike). And he probably doesn’t want to cannibalize one of his actual releases. Just a hunch, though.
Last night I have cloned my Waves CLA 67+LA2A an Fabfilter Vocal Chain.... HINT: I it´s absolutely possible to have the same sound with Cubase Pro Stock plugins! great times.
Hello, Dom! Is there any way to use Auto LFO with fx-plugin parameter in Cubase if there's no "learn cc" function? Or maybe you could tell me about other plugin that allows you to use LFO with plugin parameters in Cubase or any way to do this?
The Delay into Reverb is a really important take away from all this, for me, because I kept hearing this in tracks that I love, but most tutorials on youtube don't mention this at all, they just run the delay on it's own...and I knew they were hiding this! Thank you man
hi Dom...Double clicking intermittently works within Cubase 11 on PC windows 10. If you want to edit a MIDI part and open up the Key Editor or Rename a Track those are all things that do not work when i double click...I must insist on double click like 10 times and gave up and press the enter key. is there a solution? I tried with 3 diferent mouses wired and Wireless and all the same...Makes me lose a lot of time. do you know something about it?...thanks a lot.
17:49 this is crazy to me because at first I thought it just made it sound louder, but then at the end when you show the meter, it's clear that they aren't "louder" as such in terms of DBs. Really good stuff!
Hi Dom, can you please use other songs in your videos? It would be best to use different songs/samples in each video. That keeps things to be not boring and one can also differentiate videos. Always the same song makes it boring and annoying. Thanks.
Your thumbnails are something else man... 💥
After I watched thousands of tutorials on TH-cam about mixing vocals . now this is a tutorial I get exactly what I was looking for Thanks Mr Dom
Yo.... This song is hot, and the vocal processing sounds great! good job
Presentation 10/10
intelligibility 10/10
Amazing Meter 10/10
so cool to hear when you remove the corrective eq in the mix, it was like putting a pillow in front of the mic thanks for this Dom
9:52 POV: Dom happy that you can actually hear the difference 😂

You are welcome my friend! Glad it helps!
That's Amy Kirkpatrick!!!
Me lo guardo!!!!. Brillante Dom. Como siempre👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
After watching this, you've earned yourself my subscription bro.💪🔥🔥🔥🇰🇪

I've needed a video like this for so long! Thanks alot :)
Excellent video. I absolutely love fabfilter products. They are hands down the best in the business and the easiest to wrap your head around.
god bless you dom. i hope you all the best as usual.
Amazing dude. I can see your pure passion and joy for music throughout this video! Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom! Subbed!
You are killing me Dom... I fight my self to stop using big chains on vocals (generally stop to overdoing it with audio editing stuff) and you are coming with a video like this... Come on! 🤪
Thanks for this very informative video ☺️
Good stuff. I used the "had to let it go" part of this vocal sample for one of my songs :D
Nice vocal chain and pointers, kudos!
Amazing the good by them is how they work looking great and not colours the vocal sounds .
Love it bro thanks♥️
I'd have to watch it again, I got lost where you used the other compressor for the parallel compression trick. The interface too.
But thanks champ, we need more people like you in the world
Thank you a lot Dom you gave me the opportunity to see new things !

One of the biggest problems with Cubase. You can do this in any other software.
thanks for this video bro i needed this 🔥
Great tutorial Dom! Your cross section of FabFilter plugins really opened new doors for me in understanding how to use them in a mix 🎙 Also, what a cool synth production studio you've got there 🎹 Many thanks from Finland 🙏
Fantastic video man, now subscribed!

Really good!
Great vid.. thanks for the step-by-step. Where's the vocal chain download though?
thanks..very helpful
GREAT VIDEO💯 THANKS🙏
U did that!!! It was easy as ABC n 123. I LIKED how you didn't over-complicate things.
In The setup yup that was my problem thanks a lot

Love the song
Dom can you put this chain for download for cubase? Would be nice
Nice one, so to sum it up u use 6 different compressors (included the dynamic IQ) 😁
Nice vid Dom! Fabfilter plugins are the best. Cubase plugins are great but add way too much latency compared to the FF ones.
Hi Dom,
can you show us the same way with cubase 12 stock plugins?
Hi Dom
I hope you are doing good.
Thank you for good working i appreciate your efforts.
Could you please explain how to use input transformer in Cubase 12 because i haven't deal with it before to configure a multi midi output Vst plugins such as InstaComposer.
I am going to make a video about this- putting it on my list :)
@@DomSigalas Thank you so much i appreciate your efforts
La compresión paralela que usas con el Proc2 también podrías agregarla desde la zona inferior desde el 100%, verdad?
Nice tutorial

Copyright reason

Huh. The song is stuck in my head. Where can I listen to the whole thing?
How can we do the same with native Cubase plugins? Thank you! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
where can we download your plugin presets for fabfilter?
hi Dom...Double clicking intermittently works within Cubase 11 on PC windows 10. a link for preset settings please :)
why are the vocals not a mono track?
Thanks Brooo

video starts at min 4.. too much talking in the beginning

Hey everyone, I feel disappointed in myself for tNice tutorials having to be the case, but I feel the need to be honest. Life stuff got down hard
Tell us the secret of why the vocals are always stereo if the rule is that the vocals are mono, I'm confused?
