- Today's video is about a classic from Chanel in the Les Exclusifs de Chanel line. Coromandel, I forgot to mention, is a) not ideal for warmer weather and b) actually has a COCA-COLA note that I started smelling after editing. It came to me as I was uploading, in fact.

This is a Chanel I’ve wanted to try. Curious about that Molinard now too.
Took me a while to realize I like a patchouli note. Not all versions & not the too-strong EO-type solo patchouli, though even that I can enjoy on OTHER people.

It sounds like you and I are similar when it comes to patchouli. My enjoyment of the stuff can span from love to hate, depending on the fragrance. Molinard is generally good value for money. I recommend trying some of them! Sadly, they are hard to find here in Japan. And much as I genuinely love this one from Chanel, I don't think I would pay retail, but the way. But that is simply because my champagne tastes are accompanied by a beer budget.
@@SCENTGOURMAND Champagne tastes all around! I can’t get carried away. (Is there an “imported beer & Prosecco” budget?😅) There’s a reason for all those dupes & decants & partially-full bottles! 🤷♀️
In my short scent journey (so far), the one case where I DIDN’T even let myself sniff any samples was Clive Christian. I saw the size of those bottles & thought…”nope!”

@@SCENTGOURMAND Yeah “even I” had heard about their prices. Oh wow, just looked up Roja Dove! Comparing on the Neiman’s site, the most expensive Roja frags eat the Clive Christian for breakfast! 😗 I bet there’s some good stuff but I’d better save sampling those for later; if I fall in love, it’s probably not so easy to find a decent substitute or sub-retail seller. The Chanel & some Hermes are “expensive enough” for me! Have you smelled any Roja?
Sir Dove's stuff is good (yeah, sniffed one or two of the "cheaper" ones when I was in the Middle East), but honestly, the brand is pitched at a client different than I. Maybe someday! Think Chanel flap bag: Nice, but worth it for "regular" people? I'd be afraid to wear it...@@andreav2175
