How to reset disabled or Password locked iPhone 8/X/XS/XR/11 or 12 Series

- How to remove a disabled screen or passcode from your iPhone, please watch the video and find written instructions below.
1) Power off your iPhone
Hold down on the power button, located on the right-hand side of your device, and when prompted slide to power off.
2) Get a lightning cable ready
Grab a lightning cable, which is your standard charging cable for the iPhone, and connect it to the USB port of a computer with an internet connection.
3) Connect your iPhone to the computer
Whilst your iPhone is turned off, bring your lightning cable near to the charging port of your iPhone. Whilst holding down the Power Button, quickly connect your lightning cable to your iPhone and keep holding it while your device powers on.
4) You’re ready to restore your iPhone
Your iPhone will now be in restore mode and you should see a popup appear on your computer prompting you to choose an action.
If you’re on Mac then you will see this prompt appear in the Finder window (The little blue and white face icon in your dock) or if you’re on an older version of Mac OS then you may need to open the iTunes or Music App.
If you’re on Windows, then make sure you have iTunes installed, you can find the download link at the bottom of the description.
5) Restore and Update your iPhone
When you’re prompted to, click on Restore and choose to Restore and Update your iPhone.
This process typically takes a few minutes, but you may need to download the latest version of your iPhone’s software which can take longer.
This will remove all disabled and passcode screens that may be on your iPhone, you’ll see a progress bar appear on your iPhone and you just need to wait until your iPhone reboots to the “Hello” screen.
6) All done!
Your iPhone is now restored with any disabled screens or passcode locks removed! Just set it up as new and you’re ready to go!

Thanks for the information on this video 👍🏼 This worked for me. I restored to manufacturing settings my iPhone XR product Red. I used my Mac 💻 laptop computer (MacBook Pro, 13”, 2017, 2 Thunderbolt 3 ports) to connect my phone to iTunes. When connected, wait a few minutes for restore software to download, then the process with show. Click “OK” when the pop-up screen indicates that is has been restored to manufacture factory settings (about 5-6 mins). The iPhone with show a progress line again (about 2-3) minutes. iTunes will have a prompt that says: “Success, your iPhone has been unlocked” and the iPhone 📱 will turn on and show the initial “Hello” screen like a brand new phone. 👍🏼🙏🏼 Thanks again❣️❤️ 🤗😊🙏🏼👍🏼

I get no status bar and it says iTunes is downloading the software for this iPhone and will restore when complete. There is no indication it’s doing anything so far in about 15 mins

Ok, so what happens when you get to iTunes as nothing in iTunes is responding
Look at the top right corner of the iTunes screen and you'll see adownload button that looks like a little down arrow with a circle around it. Click on it and it shows the progress of downloading the software.

I have read your instructions and installed itunes for windows but I CAN NOT find the RESTORE & FACTORY RESET screen you show as it doesn't come up automatically

I think this is to late but i just saw it , i think you need to press the volume up then volume down then press and hold the power button without sliding the turning of slider and keep holding till a computer icon come up
What does “without turning of slider” mean
Do you need an iTunes card or any other thing in addition to the iTunes app on your pc to do this?

Just shut the phone off. Plug it into the computer and right before you plug into your phone, hold down the power button only for maybe 20 secs.
