Consider a dust mop for the floors. It does the same thing for floors, that a duster does for surfaces. Imagine dusting surfaces with just a brush --and now you can picture the difference between a broom and a dustmop. You still have to whisk the bits up with a dustpan, but, still the dustmop is a deeper clean, and quicker and easier to use, because you use it multi angularly instead of just sweeping in one direction. You can make it flat like we do with vacuums to get under the bed, and this allows the dustmop to reach under tables and such, whereas that would be harder to do with a broom. The one downside is that after you shake it out outside, you have to pick off the bits, such as hair that's stuck. It's a small price to pay, though, knowing that the dustmop at least got the hair off of the floor, whereas the broom most likely did not.
I use the Sponge Daddy for the standard bathtub ring, combined with a dilution of Simple Green. Simple Green uses natural enzymes and is totally safe and highly effective. I love it completely and just spray it onto tub and sink scum and it works like a miracle. I've been ordering mine from Home Depot, and Home Depot sells other cleaning products there which are even more popular than Simple Green, for the same reasons of safety and effectiveness, etc., and I'm going to try those someday, too. Though, it's hard to imagine anything better than Simple Green.
Your house is gorgeous!!! You have such great, understated taste!! Even the mirror, with the thick, chunky, but minimal frame, is just so perfect. I wish my house was more like that. All the shades of gray on the walls, too, are magical, they even look glassy somehow (without being shiney), which is a really cool effect.
Ohhhhhhhhh, I definitly NEED that glass cooktop cleaner! YESSSS. I just got that Bissell Jet Scrub and I love it. I also love OXO products. This was a great video. Thankx for sharing
I definitely need to order the razor blade and the glass cooktop sponge for my glass cooktop! I hate when there are stubborn marks that I can’t get out. Great tips!!
Lol 😂 I just noticed your hubby watching the golf channel! He must be hardcore like my hubby and I!! After my husband retired last year he even got a job at a golf course! Btw, like the idea of the scrub daddy! Never thought of buying one! I too use the magic eraser on my bathroom and shower flooring. Sometimes I will use baking soda and dawn liquid soap beforehand, let it sit and rinse and go over it with the magic eraser for more deep cleaning. Thanks again for the great suggestions 😉
Hahah he loves ALL sports but especially golf. I could totally see my husband doing that after he retires later in life. The scrub daddy and the magic eraser both work wonders!
I love that magnetic cleaner! I hand wash all my dishes and find sometimes it’s so hard to get in specific places, especially in appliances! Great tips as always 💕
Always wondered about the scrub daddy!!! You’ve certainly convinced me to get one next time I’m at the shop! Fed up of all my other sponges going mouldy and smelly!!! Great video- thank you!! Xxx
Was fun to see that we use almost the same products but I really liked your duster. Mine not so much! I also need a new vacuum so very interesting to hear your comments on the cordless Dyson. Thanks for sharing!
Love that we both like the same products! The duster is great and so easy to clean! And if you are in the market for a new vacuum and have a corded one for sure look at getting a cordless, it makes vacuuming so much more enjoyable!
Hey Sophie hope all is blessed, another informative and helpful video 👍, I have the brushes to clean the reusable straws I have the stainless steel ones and the clorox toilet wand was such a great idea, disposable after use. All the products are handy and get the job done, thanks again for sharing, have a great day.
Make sure to clean it often, I would suggest using the normal setting and limiting the high power mode (drains the battery and is hard on it and the vacuum) if you've had yours for a while and seen a decline in battery life you may need a replacement battery which they sell!
Hi Sophie, I’ve been consuming ur videos in the last few days and they are so great! I can’t help myself but although your house looks very tidy and neat I would NEVER dispose the mop water into ur sink. Despite you cleaning and disinfecting it afterwards. That water belongs to ur toilet or outside sewer drain. Too much contamination going on there that you cannot possibly catch by basic sink cleaning after. Love your videos and will continue watching! 👍🏻🍀
I don't have a glass cooktop, but I'm wondering if baking soda with vinegar splashed on (and turning on the oven fan, as vinegar and baking soda combined make toxic fumes) ... would work for the stove at all? I use it to clear my drains every now and again, but, it may not be strong enough for the stovetop job, especially if Bar Keeper's Friend doesn't work.
Hi Sophie - I recently found your channel and I love it! You are giving me great tips and motivation. Can you tell me what you were spraying on your floors? ❤ Jen
Hi Sophie! Can you share some of your DIY cleaning solutions? Or make a video? I’m trying to convert to all natural products with my glass bottles I just purchased. 😁
I understand why you want to throw away toilet brushes. I thought about that and no I don't. So more cleaning. I wash my brushes outside before giving them a hot wash in a tub using dish washing liquid. Then I tie them to the outside line letting the sun do its job More work less waste kind of work for me. As to cleaning a bath, I use a natural cleaner wipe, rub it round then get a natural little brush. One you use for washing dishes and scrubbing The taps shine bath gleams I use a toothbrush to finish off any hard-to-get places like around the taps even going up inside the tap. brushes I wash in washing soda
@@SophisticatedOrganization We don’t have Target in Canada. They did a couple years ago but it was not popular so it close. We also don’t have a $ spot at Walmart!
I do the vacuum the majority of the time for a quick clean but I still like to take out the broom when I want to make sure I am really getting everything!
The music is at another volume vs the speaking part of your videos. Would you consider making the adjustment? Turning the volume down and up is difficult to keep doing. I like your videos. This one was good. I have one product but would like to get the spin mop. I vacuum quickly instead of taking my time.

Hi. What were you spraying on the floor when you were mopping?
Method squirt mop! I love it!
Pampered Chef sells a plastic scraper which works for your stove, counter, dishes , pots & pans!
Great to know!! Thanks for sharing!
My pleasure!!!! Welcome to March!!!
I have a dyson also but my battery is not lasting very long about 20 minutes at the max any suggestions

What about light fixtures on ceiling?
Oxo also sends an extendable duster!!
What spin mop do you have and what do you use to clean your floors
The magic eraser and the duster are my two best friends! I like your duster better though so I have to look into it! Thanks for sharing honey
It's so good! Love how well it grabs onto the dust and so easy to wash! 🙌
Have you tried the duster gloves? Those are nice too, especially when getting into tight areas!

I know this is a stretch, but do you happen to have a link to that slow vacuum video on This Crazy Life? I'd love to see that!
