- A new 2100+hp king has stepped up the to podium! This beautiful Underground Racing Twin Turbo Audi R8 takes the crown and reigns champion above all in the Texas Invitational Fall 2015 event. Facing tough competition, this car consistently ran over 200mph MULTIPLE times throughout the day, peaking out at a whopping 213mph! These speeds are insane when you compare them to previous event. The 2000+hp T1 Race GT-R was tough competition, but the R8 held him off. This car is extremely unsuspecting - sitting on R888 street tires, you would think this beast is stock unless someone told you!

The amount I've been able to do on my Audi for the same amount of money is insane. According to him most people go for the K20 because it's much cheaper to mod.

Well, go to an Audi Store in Germany, order an R8 V10, pick it up at the factory, drive to the MTM service center down the street from the factory, get the limiter disabled, go on the Autobahn, drive ~200 mph, hit the brakes because you need to slow down. Just works, nothing new. They were only going 213, the car is built to take that. It's just a single stop, the brakes are built to take the punishment by a 580 hp engine on a race track...

Love how it looks stock and is still driveable on the road, yet the GTR has a chute, racing slicks, and a gutted interior but can't beat it. Awesome car

This is perfect. The proof I've been waiting for that the Audi R8 is one of the best street super cars to build. I've been saying g it since they rolled out the v10 models that they would make perfect super cars to build being they're price range, (especially in the beginning when they were 112k starting price), the fact that they're essentially galardos, and the fact that they are quite luxurious for a super car.

whats impressive is the drivability of that car, A/C, full dash, comfy-ish looking seats? and then no slicks, or a chute. I mean, havent seen much of what the gtr looks like on the inside, but i wouldnt have been able to tell that the r8 was pushing 2100hp from the looks of it. Badass sleeper for sure

Its because twin turbo V10 is a monster. I saw an S85 v10 from the E60 M5 with a twin turbo set-up in Norway. Was running low 6's in the 1/4". Absolutely insane.

If you turn the boost down so it's running 'only' 1000hp, that drivetrain will last longer than we'll be able to buy fuel for.
Interior is still all R8 so it's nice, still has air-con and a stereo and looks to be either stock suspension or non-drag oriented aftermarket, which combined with the semi-slicks and excellent brakes means even with the extra weight from the engine it'd go around a track very well.
I don't see how it's a waste on something like this. The AMS and T1 GTRs are very nice, but at the end of the day they're built to go fast in a straight line. This thing looks like it's just built to go fast.
Hell, because it looks like a stock R8 it doesn't even attract that much attention. Drive this next to a stock aventador and the cop certainly won't be pulling you over.

+wynn10 Most of the dig racers wanna do it on prepared tracks; Rubber, track glue, groove only and very very likely drag radials or slicks. This here has a little bit of rubber at the start of the hit-area but the rest is just asphalt like any highway (isch, cause landing strip). So this has a lot more street appeal.
Otoh, the only guys that seem to show up here are people with deep pockets and no wrenching skills in packaged cars, basically representing the small tuner companies like UGR, AMS, Heffner and so on.
I like Drag Week events a whole lot more. Those people seems to be a lot more can-do people and not pays-people-who-can-do people. Of cause some of them are also "pay drivers" but most can fix a lot on their own cars and they still bought the engines somewhere in many cases. DW still seems a lot more cozy and friendly though, where these roll races are more bank statement flashing with Pro company backing.

All X version UR builds have a sequential air shifted tranny. Not the stock DCT. It would blow the fuck up at 2100+ whp
Give them about a year or so they will create dct that can handle 2000+hp
