Just picked this up, beautiful model, I actually upgraded from the 2023 which may have seemed pointless but I don’t regret it, in addition to the screen it has a GAN charger now and better speakers as well.
why did you not go for the mac + online gaming subscription (GFN if you game)? this thing is huge and barely holds the battery, I assume 2-3 hours at most, plus the windows garbage software and constant updates
Thanks for the review. I really wish you could have done a speaker test, and I'm surprised there was no mention or site of the beautiful RGB on this machine.
10:06 for clarification, the Mini-LED display on this laptop is also an IPS panel (there are mini-LED VA panels out there from Samsung), therefore it's better to just say "regular backlit display"
Well, no, it’s not regular backlit, it’s mini-LED backlit, which means it has significantly more LEDs and dimming zones than a regular backlit display. The actual panel tech, whether it’s IPS or VA, doesn’t matter; mini-LED refers to the extra large number of backlight LEDs and dimming zones.
4 months since the original comment - how's it holding up? should I go ahead and buy it in November, December or should I wait for next year for 'newer' model?
