      @@micheledyogi5061 These are terrific exercises that many of the breathless can follow and gain from. It is a bonus that you, Michelle, have such a lovely manner - encouraging and caring. So glad I tumbled across your video. God Bless.

    Thank you so much for your useful video for chest and cage opening. I have been doing these exercises regularly for last six months and there have good improvement of oxygen saturation. I am a Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis patient since 2019. Once again thank you so much. Kindly also make videos on strengthening of legs

      Hello Gopal! We treat many IPF patients here at our clinic in Sugar Land, so I hear you! You are not alone! So happy that we were able to serve you. So funny that you mentioned wanting more videos on leg strengthening because we are going there next. Just have to find time between patients here at our clinic (tough to do!) to make a video. Stay tuned, we are thrilled to help!

      Yes, agreed please post more!!! I've been having these attacks of severe shortness of breath, ended up in the ER, they ran all sorts of test on me, but nothing showed what could be causing the problem, my heart, lungs, kidneys and D-Dimer are in perfect health, but for some reason I couldn't breathe like I used to, feeling like oxygen being cut off and on in my airflow. The doctors couldn't treat me for nothing and I was discharged. And it's been happening since, I just tried these exercises and it feels like heaven, feeling the air coming out of my chest like normal.

    • @micheledyogi5061
      @micheledyogi5061 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow@@positivepositive5038! We are so pleased to have had an impact. We are going to put out another set of videos of activities we use in our pulmonary physical therapy clinic every day to help patients like you. While I can't speak to your specific concern, I hear you! I wish you were in Sugar Land, and could come to us. But we will do what we can to produce content to help you if that's possible. I wish you luck on your health journey...I feel like the answers are within reach! Take care and God Bless!

    I feel like fate brought me here. I have a rare neuromuscular condition called LEMS. Lambert Eaton Myasthenic Syndrome. 17 years of weak muscles and other issues and the worst of it is very shallow breathing at night. I use a CPAP but it doesn’t always seem to work well and I end up with low oxygen and high co2. I’m in a bad patch right now and have been feeling defeated and unmotivated. Then this video randomly popped up on my feed and there you were! And your personality and genuine enthusiasm and passion shone through immediately. I did my first set of exercises right then and there! Do you have any other videos for someone like me? My respiratory muscles are my worst issue.

      Thanks so much for your kind feedback! I hear patients tell me a story similar to yours very often, so know that you are not alone! We see in the clinic that if the body is strong and aligned, the patient will feel as best as they can with their underlying pulmonary issues. We will put out more videos to help with the lower extremity strength component soon. Take care and Good Luck on your health journey!

    Thank U Donna, I just found U looking for something to help me breathe better as I have upper respiratory infection & my lungs are congested. I also had Covid in Sept. Have not been the same since. Your exercises were easy to follow & not too much. I’m going to share w/my brother who has COPD. Thank you again!😉

      Hi @silveror8880! We do treat a lot of COVID long haulers (who had both mild or severe cases, but still suffer from long-term effects after COVID), and of course our fair share of COPD. We have found these exercises useful for all of them, and along with some other exercises, we have our patients do these every day. Hope they benefit you! More to come...Take care and good luck!

    I have been struggling with the feeling of breathlessness for some time and I figured it was asthama. And yet, when I was short of breath, my pulsox says I get enough air.
    I have tried to read as much as I can and so anything to help, and I tried your video. I could feel it help a lot. This gives me hope that I don't have to keep living like this. Thank you so much.

    I know you said go at our own pace but can you elaborate on the inhaling and exhaling. You were going to fast its hard to think you were inhaling and exhaling at the point of every rep. I could manage the movements just fine but inhaling everytime I pointed my shoulder to the front or up in the air and exhaling everytime I went back to the beginning position had me hyperventilating. My son with no lung problems had the same issue when he did it with me to see if it was just me.

    My upper back feels tight and stiff all the time. for that reason I feel something heavy in my chest and I feel I cant breath properly. This is why I can't wear a bra anymore. It hurts me a lot.If I Don't Breathe Loudly All The Time, I Don't Feel That my breathing Is Reaching my Body. Please tell me what is the reason behind?
    Do you have any idea? It has been going on since 15months after covid infection.
