I always thought Leoric was a nice guy who just needed to be heard and avenged. It's good to see that at least HotS doesn't make him such a one-dimensional character.

If you think about it, he is similar to Aerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones. Both started off as great kings and were well loved by the people, only to later fall to madness and kill everyone suspected of treason. Later they were killed by their loyal knights (Leoric killed by Lachdanan) (Aerys killed by Jaime Lannister).
I love the difference in response he gets from the angels. *Auriel:* "I wish The High Heavens could've aided your kingdom." *Tyrael:* "I'm sorry, did you say something? I was busy thinking about justice."
I really like his Diablo kill quote. "JUSTICE FOR MY SONS! Oh, and for driving me insane." It's obvious his lack of sanity meant far less to him than what Diablo did to his sons. Wonder how royally pissed he'd be if he found out his Granddaughter suffered too?
If only Leoric were to find out about Lazarus in Diablo and start a storyline of him marching to take revenge for what his so-called best friend brought upon him and his kingdom
Jake Roberts lorewise Leoric is a tragic character , not "blatantly evil". He did most of his horrible stuff when he lost his sanity, so even Archangel of Hope pities him and he dosent lashes back at her cause he accepts it.
jeez his dialogues when he kills a Nepahlem are so spicy also I thought he would have a special dialogue with Sylvanas, since they both are undead monarch (wonder if that's what Genn refers to when he speaks to Leoric)

He was actually a great guy before his fall and to his credit, Diablo could never completely break him.
