Gul'dan's dialogue with Cho'gall implies that he is unaware of his future demise, but he lines with Illidan shows that he understands that Illidan's demonic power stems from robbing robbing his grave of his own skull. He both knows he's going to die but is surprised to find out he will.
It is likely the interactions with Illidan occured after his interaction with Cho"gall. When Gul'Dan entered the nexus the first person for an explanation would be Cho'Gall.
Honestly, I think it's more a case of Cho'gall's absolute shock makes him suspect that Cho'gall knows more about his death than simply "he died". I think Gul'dan knows how he's supposed to die, but Cho'gall's reaction makes him suspect treachery from him was involved. It wasn't, but...
The way Gul'dan says "nothing", "destiny" and "everything" not only in this video, but also all wow cinematics (and hearthstone mulligans), is just art. His voice actor should be the only person allowed to speak those 3 words in the planet.
5:35 Reference both to Warcraft 2 Death Knight *(soul of slain orc warlock or necrolyte in corpse of Stormwind human knight)* and Ner'zhuls *(Gul'dans mentor)* spirit being turned into the Lich King of Undead Scourge.
