  • How to make TOUCHLESS TOILET FLUSH
In this video, we will see how to make TOUCHLESS TOILET FLUSH using Arduino and ultrasonic sensor.
    Things required:-
    1. Arduino Board
    2. HC-SR04 ultrasonic distance sensor.
    3. Servo Motor
    4. Connectors (optional)
    5. Power Supply 5v.
    6. Jumper Cable/Wires
    Source Code:-
    drive.google.com/file/d/1SdON...
[use any one of the code]
How this project will work;; just bring your hand above the sensor or just wave your hand above the sensor, the connected servo will first rotate to the defined angle and after that, it will come back to its initial position.
)Ultrasonic distance sensor detection range and servo rotation angle can be changed in the code
)Arduino Board:-- Most of the Arduino board such as; Arduino Nano, Arduino micro, Arduino Uno, Attiny85 etc can be used.
    www.banggood.in/custlink/Dmvm...
    www.banggood.in/custlink/D3vK...
)Servo Motor:- Servo having very low stall torque may not work, use a servo with at least 2.5kg-cm stall torque.do not connect positive and negative wire of servo to the Arduino board, connect them directly to the power supply.

    www.banggood.in/custlink/KvvK...
    www.banggood.in/custlink/DD3K...
    www.banggood.in/custlink/mDKm...
)Power supply:- In this video, I have used a USB charger as a power supply. Most of the USB charger gives 5v regulated power supply.
Check output voltage of power supply before using, the output voltage is usually written on it.

I would of never thought one would use a servo motor to control the flush mechanism. That's genuis 😉👍🏾 I am building a similar device to not flush but instead close the toilet seat after you've finished your business 🚽🧻

You rock bro. I'd like to hide the magic by mounting the servo motor to the bottom, then run the line up the back and into the tank and rig it to raise the lever inside. I have an idea and I'm going to write you guys...lol

Hello, I had my arduino ultrasonic toilet flusher working for almost a over 6 months now, recently it has been acting up. It would either stop working unless i push the reset button on the arduino nano, or unplug the power and replug the power, or it will continuously flush non stop after each cycle.
    i am using a 5v 2a power supply, Hiwonder 20KG servo.
my setting is about 6" sensing distance, 30 secs cycle time (because it takes about 30 secs to fill up the tank for another full flush), 5 secs delay before the servo arm swings back down to make sure a full flush is performed.
I had tried reloading the code, sometimes it works for a day before it acts up again.
i just purchased a 5v 1.5a power supply and i am wondering if that would make a difference. also considering a different servo?
please let me know if you can thank of any reason why my setup is acting up.
    Thank you!

what should I do to this coding to make the servo motor will on when the ultrasonic sensor detect for the second time and not at the first

Can it be done with a motion detector instead which is activated after a delay time once the motion is detected?

How would it be if we have a sensor below the seat the moment the person getup after doing his job the toilets flushes it self. understanding the pressure on the seat

I want to make a similar setup for my dog. He uses the bathroom but I need to pour every time after he urinates. I want to automate this the only difference is there should be a delay of let's say of around 5 minutes. Which means it should pour water 5 minutes after he leaves

Hello! This looks amazing! I'll be trying that out soon, but I don't have any outlets close to my toilet, is it possible to run everything with 4 AA batteries? 6V should cut it, but I'm no expert on these things... Cheers

......I agree as ultrasonic sensors are not that stable, a E18-D80NK Adjustable Infrared Sensor Switch 3-80cm for_Arduino Infrared Sensor switch works well in this case www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-Shipping-1PCS-E18-D80NK-Adjustable-Infrared-Sensor-Switch-3-80cm-for-Arduino-Infrared-Sensor-Switch/32753665402.html

you are using the same 5V pin on audrion to power up both the servo & Ultrasonic sensor? Is that power enough to drive both devices?? Please clarify

    • @snnyhacksci.5984
      @snnyhacksci.5984  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Actually, we are using the same power supply to power Arduino board, Ultrasonic sensor, and the servo motor,, you can see in the diagram that positive(+) and Gnd wires of both Servo and Ultrasonic sensor are directly connected to the power supply, so they will get power directly from the power supply unit and not from the Arduino board.

'' Ultrasonic sensor will draw less than 20ma of current, Arduino board will draw less than 50ma of current and the maximum current drawn by Servo will depend upon the servo used and how much force is required to push the lever, If your flush lever is hard to push then servo will draw more current and if it is soft it will draw less current. however servo will draw around 1amp of current,, so using a 5v1.5A power supply unit will be sufficient power all three.

This is a late comment, but how do you put in both codes? Do you just place them in one after another in the same piece of code or what?

    • @snnyhacksci.5984
      @snnyhacksci.5984  4 ปีที่แล้ว

Two codes are given in the description, you can use any one of them.
First code will first rotate servo in the clockwise direction, then it will come back to its original position and the second code will first rotate servo in the anti-clockwise direction then it will rotate back to its original position.

It will work. Agar aap angle jada dalenge tb servo will try to push, taki wo reach kr ske us angle tak. In that case wo pressure bhi exert kregi which will be sufficient enough. Koi problem nhi ayegi. Hopefully it helped u.
