Awesome project, question tho, what application its used to write the code and i think is a better idea to use infrared sensors to trigger the system, setting a delay for the sensor to fixate on its target and after you finishe doing your thing the sensor will lose its target and then is where you set the servo motor to trigger the response.
Pretty cool to see the project

I've searched on the letsmakeprojects site but couldn't find this project. So can you please send the exact link that will direct me to this project?
    Thank you :)

Hi Raman, sorry to hear that, can you please search for arduino toll tax barrier or arduino food dispenser project on letsmakeprojects, the codes and circuit are same for all these, hope this helps, let me know if it helped you

How would I adjust the code to say for example detect my cat on the loo for about 45 sec, wait for 15 sec, then activate the servo 180 deg counter clockwise and return? Thanks, even if you just point me in the right direction for tips.

You can make those changes in code please check servo delay section on code

I did this project few months ago and it was working fine until recently, every other day it stops working until i unplug the power and replug it back in order to get it to work again.
Do you know what could be the issue? I am using a 5V 2a power supply. Thanks in advanced

@@jeevanjee my setup does not use a portable battery, it is instead plugged in to the wall outlet with a 12v 5amp power supply

@@TeslaDIY you may have defined a variable in the loop of your code so your Arduino runs out of memory. Define all variables outside the loop and refer to them inside the loop. Let me know if that works

@@diplomatic_koboko Thanks buddy, I had swapped my DIY arduino toilet flush out with a Amazon one haha, but i also repurposed my arduino + servo setup as a auto mouse click lol, and i have learned that it was the servo's problem, probably something to do with power output of the servo i was using.

Man.. use PIC istead of Arduino. Arduino will stop running after some time. PIC doesnt

I recommend everyone that, use PIC instead of Arduino. Arduino will stop processing after 2 days
