You got that wrong.... Us Brits too!!! Doesn't matter where you're from, if you grew up listening to the great RB, cricket will never be the same without him❤❤❤❤
Richie was my surrogate grandad growing up in the 70s. I will forever treasure the voice over the radio and the long hot summers here in England. Always a great man and great Australian.
I am afraid that the cricket is just not the same without Ritchie, Tony, Bill and the Nine commentary. There isn’t the insight, experience or no how with the current broadcaster. I turn down the volume and listen to my ABC. The second best thing. Packer just didn’t make cricket great, he made it greater and he knew how to do it.
Apart from my father, this is the second most listened to voice my growing up ears heard in 80's and 90's Australia. That voice alone brings back memories of a better, much more happier, and easy time in my life, as I would say a lot of people... The best voice for the best sport on Earth
I heard about Richie Benaud dying today. I am an English supporter through and through, but we all loved Ritchie. Great player, commentator and lastly Gentlemen. Godbless you Ritchie, you brought such joy to so many.
A wonderful Ambassador for the game of Cricket and for Australia. I would watch the BBC coverage of Test Matches every Summer as a boy and Richie was the commentator i most learnt from. 1977, Ashes, England - the year i fell in love with the game. Richie Benaud - the voice of Cricket. Rest in Peace Sir.
An absolute disgrace the man was never knighted. If there was any ex cricketer who deserved to be knighted it was Richie. Bloody hell it hasn't been the same since he passed away and he must be turning in his grave at the bollocks going on in the game now.
It’s hard to put into words what Richie means to the Australian people. He was everyone’s summer grandfather. We loved him and he is still so missed.

When sportsmen were gentlemen and the game itself was worth more than the sponsorship dollar. Thank you Richie ❤

If you're an Australian, and you've never heard of Richie Benaud, you're not really much of an Australian at all.
Same if you're a Cricket fan - of any age, anywhere in the world - and you've not heard of Richie Benaud.
That’s a very good comment.
Just superb! 🙂

Richie Benaud - proof that not all Australian sports stars are one-eyed, ocker bogans.
R.I.P. Richie. A true master & gentleman. No one can surpass his knowledge of cricket & experience both as a player & then a commentator.
Rest in peace Richie
