Would have been great if that beast was still swimming out there but great efforts to get revive her.

A fish that size would probably only have lived a couple more years anyway. I have no issues with them taking it whether they tried to revive it or not.
Also you Say all you want about how they should have handled that fish it’s easy to say when you’re not the one caught up in the moment of catching a world record.

To bad it had to die. I'm sure you were upset it didn't make it. Congratulations on the new record 🎣

Congratulations. WOW! World record size! Minnesota record! “Your gonna need a bigger boat!” Record mounts..sometimes are copied...and find there ways on to more walls...to be admired.

Congratulations and what most will over look is the time you took to try and release. Haven't heard anyone ever say they would release the record eventhough it is a release fish unless your a Packers fan and eat it.

We caught 5 footer in Pennsylvania and released it without registering it but the Amish man that helped us said it was the record at almost 60 lbs with a 22inch tail. I look back and think that I'm glad nobody has killed that hybrid giant yet. It deserves to live in peace. 💪😎

I got into a fist fight with big foot with the help of an Algonquin shaman, we managed to cast him back into the shadow realm using ancient Native American magic. Fucker must have been 10 feet tall, crazy the things that happen.

if you wanted to release it don't be all grabby hands and pop the hook after measuring in the water of gurth that gives you length. but nah you wanted that fish on your wall.

If you've never caught one then you wouldn't know that these fish are damn near impossible to control in the water.

A fish that size should have been released.. no net needed when musky or pike fishing.. most all fishermen do not know how to handle a medium or larger fish..

The amount of incorrect or missing information in what you just said lol .
When you catch one that size then you can tell everyone how it should be done.

Lol ya you don’t fish for that species! That exactly what you do, net them handle them in the water in a musky basket. I’d hold my comments until you handle a 50 plus inched by hand only.

Why take so long before putting him back in the water…all for selfish publicity…poor innocent fish didn’t deserve to die like that.

That's a pretty good record but if my dad would have got the one he had years ago it would have shattered the record he had a 300 he used a breeding gizzard shad which was around 16 in Long deep sea hook 6 lb test line braided catgut this is when he first came out of the Green berets old school Green is on for 30 in he was built like a brick shithouse he pulled his arms up and they would pull his arms this was it's a shame we didn't get them close enough but I really don't think then that would have been big enough cuz my nephew Walter said that the head alone was two-and-a-half 3 ft he also said it look like a prehistoric muskie fish this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity see the only reason he didn't get them in is because it ripped the guts out of the real in the real fell apart see he hooked them in the right spot in the tip of his jaw where he could not bite the line but that don't do you much good when he ripped the guts out of the real turns the real into a pile of scrap metal

Why did you kill it? Imagine that fish is easily 20 years old. Wow, mens ego will destroy this world.
