FIJI INDIAN WEDDING CELEBRATION. DAY 2 OF CELEBRATIONS IS CALLED BHATWAN. INCLUDES PLAYING WITH TUMERIC (HALDI) TOWARDS THE END OF THIS VIDEO.Uttar Pradesh Band Baja Baraat.
Very similar to how India does their weddings because the culture is directly descended from India. Keep in mind Indians were brought to Fiji by the British in the 19th century in such large numbers that much of the traditional Indian culture remained intact.
Our Hindu traditions are 110% well maintained by our great ancestors migrated to Fijji. They passed all the cultures and traditions so nicely to their next generations.Love and best wishes to Indo Fijian and married couple.Bhagawan unlockn ko sukh Shanti dein. From India.
I liked video of Fijian marriage very much and I can tell you marriage in Mauritius are performed more or less exactly as in Fiji. The cooking of puri curries and geet gayaw funs with saffron. One day I wish to visit Fiji and assist Indian ceremony as our ancestors came from India for plantation of sugar cane which is our main economy now. Our grand parents faced many miseries and now we new generations standard of living are very much better.
ur indian culture is very same like mine indian culture in my country Suriname in South America . the way of speaking is close to ours to. fine to see Fiji indians specialy the wedding
@@ezycashcenterallimited885 Thats not a joke. Once I met a person from Fiji in Vancouver and he told me his grandfathers brother ended up in Suriname. His name was Gogai Jangli, from Pantage Hazard in Nickerie unfortunately could not find any decendents in Suriname. I am sure there are more examples like that.
I really appreciated to see this wedding video which is very similar to ours. Thank you for posting it and I would never know today that our family from Bihar still exist on the other side of the world. Love from Toronto.
Now hindu wedding getting more and more glamorous around the world. One thing stand out in a hindu wedding food... it's in our Genas cooking don at the bride and groom residence. From Guyana Living in NY.
Wow thanks!! I have always wondered...I have never heard it mentioned in any bollywood movies, news media etc. In Fiji it is a 3 day deal (or Ordeal...lol) namely..Telwan, Bhatwan and Shadi.
