I wish coins could talk. I'd love to know where that V nickel has been in it's 138 years of existence, and how it got in that box. Are you the first collector to own it? Was it in the back of a sock drawer for 90 years? How many candy bars has it helped buy? Was it ever in a parking meter? How long has it been since it's been anywhere near another V nickel? And now Rob and this video are part of it's story. How old will it get? Are it's circulating days over? Where will it be 138 years from now?
I found a 1901 Liberty nickel metal detecting. And even though it’s a reddish brown color from being in the ground all this time, I think it was new when it was lost. It has very good details for being dug up. No circulation wear. It’s one of my favorite coin finds.
What an AMAZING hunt!!!!! First off you made several upgrades to your hunt and fill albums, then two yummy snacks for the silver jar and then to top that off, you made a nearly 150 year old addition to your main collection!!!!!
Rob I walked in to the Chase bank I go to by my job to show off my Quarter albums … they loved them their jaws dropped when they saw so many Silver, Proof’s and BU Shinny’s . They where very happy to be a part of helping me out with Quarters
Great find with that Liberty Head nickel. I did a box of nickels last night and found a 1900, 1903, and 1911 Liberty Head, 1918 (that was nick-a-dated) and a dateless Buffalo, and pretty sure a 1964 D/D. Unfortuately no war nickels, but still had some great finds. I would go back to the bank that gave me the nickels but we have a negative temps before the windchill in Kansas. The bank I get my coins from don't give them in boxes even if you get enough. They come either loose rolls or in little bank sealed bags of 10 rolls per, and they act like no one has ever gone in to get that many rolls of coins before. So I have to explain myself almost everytime, especially when I go bill searching. Anyway, great finds tonight Rob. Happy Hunting.
Wow! Congrats Rob! That's so awesome to fill an 1880s hole in your collection from coin roll hunting. This is why coin roll hunting can be so fun and rewarding. You just never know what you might find! Thanks for letting us share your journey!!
What A Nickel! So fun to watch Nickel Hunt and fills! Especially when RobFindsTreasure does them! Imagine this! Every coin in exsitence had a tiny camera on it that you could watch and see what the coin has gone through during its time in circulation.
That's an incredible find Robert. In all m years, I've found two, both of which are in G-4 condition. To think that even in this day and age, albeit rarely, we still find them in circulation. The coin Gods throw us a bone and every now and then to keep us happy.
Nice semi-key dates and war nickels found , Rob! Of course the V-nickel is the prize there! When I saw the condition of the reverse I was thinking, "Oh that's gotta be 1900's thru the teens!" But when you turned it over, that 1884 was a major surprise. That's one that I've found metal detecting a couple of times. Your find has to be at least G-6 quality! And it fills up a hole in your collection, to boot! Awesome!!!!
Congratulations on finding 2 silver war nickels and a 1884 v nickel and a semi key date thanks for sharing Rob and Merry Christmas to you and your family
How lucky! The last year (1882) was the final year of the first variety of the 5 cent pieces. They were named shield nickels before the production of the V nickel
Congratulations on the Liberty Head nickel 138 years old. Interesting fact, the mint was going to continue the silver nickel, but they decided there wasn't enough silver in storage to do so.
Rod, regardless of condition, finding a 138 year old coin in circulation has to feel good. Look, I don’t even own an 1884 V nickel so you have bragging rights.🔥😂👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Wow, Rob, that's great! ~Congrats on 2 nice boxes; upgrades, semi-key, silvers, & the addition to your book, from the goddess of Liberty. CGM@T❗️👍🥳 (hope you stream tomorrow. Can't go anywhere when it's -30°)🥶
WOW !!!! What an awesome hunt. I mean, it had a little bit of everything, and even an upgrade for your personal book. Can't wait for the next video and Happy Hunting. 😃
I enjoy ALL the hunts, I'm partial to nickels though. Always have been, always will be. Thanks Rob. That V nickel though.. Nice find for sure. I need the 3 key dates for my album as well.
Nice hunt Rob, congrats on the silver war nickels & that V-Nickel, always makes me happy when we can see you add a coin to your personal collection brother 👍
Hey Rob, Jeff from upstate southern tier of NY here. How bad did it get there temperature wise. I know you were expecting some colder temps . Thanks for your channel. Keeps us all sane and searching. I'm working on the state quarter collection from 1999 through to present date( Unc, proofs, P,D,S, and soon the silver proofs). Also the Sacagawea ,presidential, innovation dollars sets. Unc, proofs, reverse proofsl. The W sets for 2019 an 2020 quarters are getting pricey. , but still available.

That’s a really old V you found Rob. I have a question have u ever found an eagle cent in a penny box?
way fun hunt! congrats on the find rob

as a coin collector these are the kind of questions that most intrigue my interest in the hobby!
I’m certain its days in circulation are over. The other questions we will never know
These intrest me so much

Great Find on the 1884 "V" nickel!!! Congrats on the find!!! Enjoyed the video.

Haha, I said, “wow!“ about that 1884 V Nickel at the exact same moment as you did
That's awesome!! We had an almost identical day today, no silver, but a 27-S buffalo and an 06 liberty V.
Super find!
wow super hunt Rob
What A Nickel! So fun to watch Nickel Hunt and fills! Especially when RobFindsTreasure does them! Imagine this! Every coin in exsitence had a tiny camera on it that you could watch and see what the coin has gone through during its time in circulation.

Great hunt Rob.. Congrats on the V 🥰🎉
Congrats on the ‘84. Looks like VG details with PMD.
That 1884 V nickel was a terrific find. From the reverse it almost looked like a shield nickel.
Great hunt! That 1884 V nickel was awesome! I thought it was going to be a 1909 or 1911. Lots of other nice finds, too. Way to go, Rob!
Me too (always in the 1900's for sure).
@@RobFindsTreasure I’ve been trying to ask you a question for 2 weeks

Almost 140 years old. Very cool
Can't go wrong with a couple silvers & a V Nickle!! Thanks again , here's hoping you and Charlani have Merry Christmas! Happy Hunting, Stephen
Was expecting the V nickel to be after 1900. Nice to be able to find something in a different album.
Boomski on the 1884, brother! Nice silvers too. Good hunt!

Congratulations on the Liberty Head nickel 138 years old.
Interesting fact, the mint was going to continue the silver nickel, but they decided there wasn't enough silver in storage to do so.

Yep, you definitely need to go back to that bank and get more boxes with Grandpa's collection dump out there.
Another great video
Cool Hunt Rob!
Great find. We found an 1884 a few months ago, but it wasn’t near as good as yours. You’re up on us 9-7 on the V nickels. 😜
Just scored a 1936-D 5¢ DDO, and a 1913- D type 1. As well as a 1883 v nickel full Liberty in pretty decent condition
Holy crap! A V nickel find?! Very cool!
That 1884 is a semi key date for the liberty nickel series!
you never know when a box will blow your socks off. Its an Awesome feeling
Hello Rob
Hi Andrew!
Wow! I can’t believe you found such an old v nickel in circulation. The only one I ever found was 1912.

Whoop!
Howdy
Wow seems like the v nickels seem to be getting found more often
Hey Rob…
Hey Jack...
