The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh have added so much to the working Royals. The King has a staunch ally in this couple. They are respectful and wonderful at the same time. They don't try to outshine the King and Queen, but to try to support them in whatever way they can. Hear, Hear!
I’m really happy to see Edward and Sophie out more. I would also like to see more of Princess Beatrice (not Eugenie) and Edo. The huge generational gap among senior royals is already causing a scaling back of duties. especially with Charles, Catherine, and Anne partially sidelined. More, younger backup support is needed.
Not Eugeine with fish floundering husband jack and harry and Megan. They can't be trusted either.
I have always liked Sophie and her warm personality and sweet smile. 😍
100% agree
Carol, you put this beautifully, but it is so true of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and their children that you can simply say it as it is ❤
I don’t understand why people choose not to vote! The lack of interest in who leads the country is beyond me. I bet these people are the first to complain 😊❤🇦🇺
I couldn't agree more.
Maybe because they don't know who to vote for.
I voted ,but think all parties are a shower of sh*t. I didn't want conservatives in, neither did I want labour in. I don't agree with their policies. The same goes for Reform and the green party.
When you think they are all crap how do you choose?
I wanted to vote but am on holiday abroad. Applied for a postal vote in good time but it failed to arrive before I departed! The only time in my adult life I've not voted. I'm 62.
Here in Australia voting is compulsory, not a choice. Some disinterested people do a donkey vote but every adult is expected to vote . Same for referendums as well.
It would be better if people didnt vote at all, maybe if that happened, (unrealistic obviously) but if it did, then that would send a clear message. We want them ALL out and start again. Certainly this needs to happen in Australia, it's going down the drain and makes no difference who is elected, they all follow the dsame despicable agenda and it's not at all for the people.
My word..the Edinburghs look better and better every day.
They certainly do!
@@GingerKraut absolutely agree with you!
The Duchess of Edinburgh looked sublime to me, in that palest of grey. Uber feminine, and light for the season, complementing her complexion and eyes! LOVED how a camera angle caught the swoops of her hairstyle coordinating with the swoop of her hat and angled feathers. AND THE DUKE! WOWZA! Crisp! Dapper! Handsome! LOVED the contrasting light and dark of his ensemble and the coordinating collection of colors. WOWZA!
Yes! They both have upped their style game here lately.
@@TheEmpressMouse I hope Viscount Wessex doesn't find it too uncool to see his dad as a role model in sooooo many ways, not the least of which is his style. We've already seen in the past few years that Lady Louise has like-minded taste with her mom and that means more lovely ladies photos whenever LL joins the RF for events. Win-win for everyone!!

Oh, I wish William would wear a helmet while on those scores. I know it's not a cool look but God forbid anything happens.
River, I have lived through an awful lot of elections and the debate about the disparity between vote share and number of seats happens every time. (By vote share, even the Tories would have had more seats!). Governments in this country are cyclical - starting a new cycle now, everything will seem great and gradually over the next years voices of dissension will arise and grow louder with the seats gradually reducing in each election until eventually the Government collapses and it all starts again. Frankly, I wouldn't want to be PM as it is a poisoned chalice.
Don't worry, the job comes with a handy little pension.
Your government is a mess to like us in America
I totally agree 🤴 🙏
Phục vụ vương quốc thì cũng tới lúc “ thấm độc “ thôi ….
Yes, the pendulum swings with regularity. And God only knows what greater cycles we are subject to -- Western civilization seems to have a death wish at the moment.
Keeping your country in my prayers just as I’m keeping my country the beautiful America in my prayers
I do not trust any of these politicians
happy birthday River. I have a dear sister and a wonderful cousin both born in July. Cheers.
Well we all need to pray over your elections too. All the best 😊
Amen Prayers For All.
I am right there with you.😢
I pray enough Americans see the damage the Left is causing and yearn for America of yesteryear and vote accordingly.
I grew up on a Northern Council estate, all of my friends were Miners daughters. My Dad was the ONLY Tory voter. He was known as the " Gentleman" dressed impeccably and was descended from wealthy land owners/ Race horse breeders. Even today they still burn effigies of Thatcher! Needless to say it doesn't go down well when I remind them that they now all own their ex council homes, got over forty thousand pounds payout from the mine closures, plus a job at Nissan Sunderland, all thanks To Margaret Thatcher! I thought she was tremendous. This country prospered under her, The jobs were there for those who wanted them, and she took no crap! A strong woman in a man's world who was stabbed in the back.
The Duchess of Edinburgh always looks fabulous. I wish the media covered her and Prince Edward more.
I do too! They are so cute together. Sue Smith calls her secret weapon Sophie. She is incredibly smart and I don’t know if she has a seat at the United Nations or just goes in to give speeches?

Now you know how we in the USA felt when Trump won in 2016.
I as well in the United States of America. Biden and his regime is very scary.
@hebertfamily1044 Trump did alot of good America first! Not Biden who loves open borders, high prices, gas over 4.00 gal with trump1.96, food, food shortage, welfare for those not of this country.
It’s getting pretty scary in Australia too, especially Melbourne with all the thugs who get off , with no consequences for their horrific crimes …. Our Government needs a dose of Common Sense🕊️
I voted for Nigel, even though as a Scot, it was pointless. My compatriots are congenitally left wing and consistently vote Labour or SNP 🤷♀️ I wanted Nigel to have numbers, and I couldn't face voting for any other party. The next 5 years will be rough 😢
From what I understand of this election, 85% of Britons did not vote for this government.
oh yes, this was refreshing. I loved your reporting and I didn’t miss Megan or Harry at all. It was a relief. Those two are so annoying and draining on society. Thanks for a great video.❤❤❤
As the official car drove up with Mr Sunak in it, to tender his resignation, the door was opened by a female member of the Palace Staff. Mr Sunak got out and made a point of thanking her. However, when Sir Kier rocked up to form the new government and the same member of staff opened his car door…nothing! He didn’t even look in her direction. Things like that just show me what we are dealing with.
I do agree, Not a huge fan of Starmer the person, but I did like Sunak the man even though he and I would have nothing in common politically or status in life. Odd isn't it.

Agree, both starmmer and sunak spoke of each other kindly. But Starmmer going on about Sunak being an Asian and the first Hindu prime minister and how hard it must have been 🙄. I’ve never heard Sunak mention that. Let the wokery begin.
We can all say what we want about Sunak but he never complained that he wasn’t successful in politics because of his Indian heritage. (As far as I know) I find it highly inappropriate of Starmmer to mention that, like why was that even necessary unless for more points from his kind of people.

No doubt when the British Public complain about immigration - Starmer has a first class example of how positive and effective immigration is for the country. Starmer is a Barrister, he knows exactly what he’s doing, he chooses his words carefully - they are the “tools of his trade”!
I’m not saying anything derogatory about immigration merely giving my opinion as to why he highlighted this particular point.

By 2050, England will be unrecognizable.
Indeed. You'll find that most Countries change in a period of twenty five years. There will be many changes of Government within that period.
It already is, IMO. The English have had their rights eroded at every turn and it appears that if you have never contributed to the system you are entitled to everything, whereas if you have worked hard and done your best, there is nothing for you other than the heart breaking knowledge that it is you who are funding the feckless.
After my recent visit to London, first time in 8 years, it was definitely different.. and not for the better. Only thing that seemed to stay the same was the wonderful black cab drivers, and the helpful bus drivers.
So will the USA. We are witnessing the outright destruction of White Western European culture and traditions in both our noble countries. I got to meet Margaret Thatcher in Dallas at a book signing. I admired her very much and loved to listen to Parliament debates. I can't tell you the number of times I've got downright vitriolic comments, simply from remarking that Mrs Thatcher was an example of a truly strong woman.
I don't even say it as a supporter of hers. I was a working class child in Northern England when she first came to office, and she did us no favours.
But when I look at so many women of today who shout from the roof tops about how strong they are, whilst acting quite the opposite, of course I'm going to make comparisons.
Mrs Thatcher was a woman in a heavily male dominated world, and she never used The Woman Card. She saw the playing field and she played on it, in the same way as the men.
They respected her for that, even when they didn't like her.
Me too. Never voted for her but she was an intelligent able hard working lady in charge of her brief and respected at home and abroad. I don't understand why Americans keep giving Harry awards then moan that he accepts/buys them, here in the uk we boo him.
@@sandyno1089it's only their fellow wokesters who are a fringe whacko group and not the majority of Americans. But the MSM has been overtaken by these Marxists/globalists so they have a higher social profile than they warrant.
Where can I find that petition?
Americans aren't giving him awards. The carparkles buy them behind closed doors
@sandyno1089
There's a mysterious donation that looks like they paid for it too! It will be interesting to see the taxes later
Although carparkles are late on theirs, again
Agree 100% with you River. I was bitterly disappointed the immigration problem wasn’t dealt with properly and if Labour rejoins the EU we will be well and truly stuffed!! We will not have a country for the English people anymore.
I think the H of C will be much better with Nigel there. He is so articulate, confident, and numerous and is never stuck for words. I like him and i think he says plainly what other people try to wrap up in confusion and more words than necessary. He will do a good job. Well done to him.
Is that the Nigel who lives in Germany
I was fascinated by the Iron Lady in my teen years the 80’s imo had some of the most iconic leaders that made history. The economy was horrible everywhere . But people loved their country and were kind to their neighbors. And our celebrities wanted to make a difference. Our musicians protested and spoke their minds thru music.
Yes! The 80s were a fantastic time to be a teen.
Channeling, channeling the royal spirit...always!

Happy Birthday River. Have a super Day!❤🎉
Happy Birthday River! Youre looking jazzy today! I love that the Prince of Wales is the Duke of Rothesay when in Scotland. My family are Boyds and hail from Bute!
I used to work for Starmer. He is a decent, honourable and principled man. I agree with your opinion on the state of the Tory party.
@@ElizabethSmith-yf1be not decent to be saying an experimental drug, the COVID Vax, should be mandated. He was so keen that he even suggested he could help Boris get it through in days.
William looks spiffy on that scooter. But you are right they can be a bit of hazzard
I love his portrait I wish they would do more formal pictures like they did back in the day
His mouth is weird again, like on his Family Order (also taken from a portrait)
Maggie T was my first vote. I now reside in the USA and am a firm Monarchist. I find the state of both tiny little Great Britain and massive States of America appalling. We have gone to hell in a handbasket.
River Dear !! Yay !! You're beautiful as always !! 🥰🤗
Princess Anne feels every word she says. Such a Royal entity.
This South Carolina gal loved Margaret Thatcher. In America Margaret Thatcher was fondly known as “Iron Pants Maggie”. You’re right River they don’t make them like her anymore.
Saw Margaret Thatcher speak at Virginia Military Institute (VMI) some years ago (I was an adjunct there a few years later). The Iron Lady rolled in with that handbag and made a great speech. She totally dominated that huge arena filled primarily with eager military cadets. A memorable experience! After she left office, she served as Chancellor at the College of William and Mary in Virginia (my alma mater). Some people see that chancellor position as strictly honorary, but not Thatcher. She visited often and took an active interest in university affairs and events.
I lived in UK during her reign, on the wrong side of her particular class war. She had some great personal strengths and was indeed articulate; but she also began the destruction of much that was positive in UK, particularly her attack on housing and all the other services that were the responsibility of local councils. Don't put her on too high a pedestal.
She was called "Thatcher the Milk Snatcher" in 🇬🇧 Horrible individual.
They also shafted her.
Amen!
🥳😘🥳😘🥳😘🎈🎉🎈🎉🎂🍾🎂🍾. Happy Birthday all month long, Darlin’ River.
Happy Birthday River and many, many more... Love you❤
As the miners strike had a great impact on my family ,as did the Hillsborough tragedy. I have no affection for Thatcher.
She may have been strong, but she had no empathy and was willing to lie, and crush the common man for her own ideals!
Yes, my family were miners as well she ruined it all .😢
Agreed. She famously said ‘There’s no such thing as society’. I hated her. 😡
Quite so. I admire the fact that was a strong woman. But I can do that whilst knowing that she was ruthless towards the working class, particularly in the North. Hillsborough was heartbreakingly terrible. I don't think the City of Liverpool has ever truly healed from it. And mining is a tough enough job already, without them having to fight the government tooth and nail.
@@Redrosewitch to be honest our family was in the Forest end but saw things that you can never forget. We knew Thatcher was part of the cover up,the way she was spoke about the tragedy was shameful!
@@cjscitcat Oh yes. There was plenty that she did that people are never going to forget.
At 63 I’m terrified for both America and the UK. There is something bad coming.
In the Uk it's already here. We just have to keep trying to boot it out. 🥴
@@margaretblack8538 Did you see our Presidential debate? We have a president that mixed up the 4th of July for Christmas, did a radio address and mumbled something about being the first black woman president and can’t control his bodily functions. All while being led around by his wife’s claw. What an embarrassment for the whole world to see.
I live in the US but have dual citizenship with Canada and UK. All of them are messed up.
@@jackiemanderson2080 it is very scary.. have never lived through anything like this and I can only pray we can turn it around.
Thatcher loved her country!
Didn´t care much about the miners, did she.
I couldn't bring myself to vote for any party who doesn't know what a woman is. I have grandchildren and I am so worried about their futures.
Are you referring to Gender Neutral ??? Was it what Kier Starmer hinting at ???
Sophie was breathtaking in her outfit! PW and PE looked so handsome as usual ! I know PC would have looked phenomenal had she felt up to attending!
Thank goodness this portrait of the King looks much more realistic and royal .
Thrilled P Ann is better ! We love The Princess Royal so much ! She looked great in the red outfit

I thought River almost called Liz Truss a "prime-monster" at one point 😂, in what looked like a slip of a tongue. The king's PS Clive Alderton appeared to be very chummy and kissy with Keir Starmer's wife.
You are correct! Margaret Thatcher was outstanding!
Dear River I pulled up your page the other day to see if there was any broadcast I had missed. It was like opening a box of Quality St chocolates with all the vibrant colours. You really do make an effort (and succeed) to wow your fruits with every broadcast. Your outfit, headpiece, gems and other assorted accessories surrounding you are a pleasure to behold. I catch myself wondering "what will River wear next" and you never disappoint. Thank you for the information, opinions and stories you share . Thankyou as well for dressing up for your fruits. I really believe it makes a difference and adds magic to your channel. Love a fruity Canadian.
3 prime ministers in 2 years, wonder if this is a royal record?
The Prime Ministerial game of musical chairs saw five administrations in 1834 to 1835: Lord Grey til July 1834, then Lord Melbourne from July 1834, then Arthur Wellesley, the Duke of Wellington from November 1834, then Sir Robert Peel from December 1834, returning to William Lamb, Lord Melbourne in April 1835.
1885 to 1886 saw four administrations alternating between Mr Gladstone, and Lord Salisbury.
1922 to 1924 saw Lloyd George out in October 1922 to be replaced by Bonar Law who lasted til May 1923, and who was replaced,by Ramsay MacDonald in January 1924, before being replaced by Stanley Baldwin in November 1924; which is four administrations in two years.
Sending prayers to all those affected by hurricane beryl 🙏 🙏 🙏 ❤
That was a refreshing update on the loved and hard working Royal Family🇨🇦
Loved Mrs. Thatcher.
The iron Lady she was . Wonderful Woman.
115 degrees NC🇺🇸Stay cool and hydrated.
It’s actually “96 degrees” in NC…….
Please stop with the weather drama….lol

Wasn't voting for Conservative just to stop the supermajority. Voted for who I wanted. Very disturbed that people would vote Labour but they may get their eyes opened wide very quickly
Yes, correct. Just like we did with the Tories… Labour can’t be any worse. Sorry you lost Big Baby
@@aileenspence3080 Personally, I'm just gagging for a period of dull competency!
@@aileenspence3080 I think you’ll find that labour can be a lot worse. They almost bankrupt the country the last time after giving away like confetti. A little pathetic that you feel the need to name call, it’s very childish.
Well, if you have worked hard and have your own home in a nice place, be prepared to get taxed at every opportunity especially in death and if you live near greenbelt, then don't complain if you voted Labour if it is covered in a huge council estate in the near future.
I couldn't vote anyone because I didn't have photo ID, once apon a time you only needed your polling card and three bills with one's address on, so I couldn't vote🙄
I love the portrait of King Charles. Thanks for a great podcast ast..I so enjoy your humour 😂 lots of love from Cape Town South Africa ❤ Gail
they spoke highly of each other because they are 2 sides of the same coin. the wef coin. very scary for the uk.
Exactly! They are on the same team. Both globalist traitors. Of course they are going to pat each others backs. they are just a tag team passing the baton of destruction of our country.
Tea in hand ready!
Yes in America we called them RINOs Republican in Name Only. Actually it was truly a Uniparty and I don't mean unity.
For the first time since Eisenhower we have a chance for a true conservative party to be elected.
Uniparty in US politics is the Democrat movement for only Democrat "elected" government.
Wasn't sure exactly what you meant.
Thank you River for being such a hoot!!
