The event really was to benefit the hospital which serves children, infants and teens only. I think a few kids were there because of the awards ceremony part of the event. This was an evening gala for fiscal development (fund raising on a big scale and well attended by wealthy people and Hollywood stars). This hospital is the main one serving children in Los Angeles and is a very old one with new facilities. I was a patient as a toddler.
There is an opinion out there that it might be because she has lost so much weight from the last time she wore it, and she wants to being attention to herself about the possible stress she might be under - to run parallel with Catherine's ordeal.
