      Standard mode for them. Just like anyone who dared to ask any questions about vac roll outs etc was an "anti-vaxxer", "conspiracy theorist", "flat earther", "tin foil hat wearer" - even if they and their children had taken every other LONG ESTABLISHED vax, and certainly hadn't stated that the earth was flat, it mattered not. The label was an important instant dismissal without entertaining any discussion or potential different opinion to the official narrative, and it also made people feel superior and clever without having to address any valid points made or questions asked Very convenient when you are running the show and want to sway people in a certain direction. When you see certain labels being applied to certain people by govt and media, sit up and take notice, and investigate for yourself, is the best way forward isn't it.

      This additive is intended for intensive farming. Several additives, including this one are specifically banned from use with pasture raised meat and dairy cattle. It is mega agriculture that wants this stuff. Eat less meat is the message from many and includes the message don’t use additives like this to avoid having to eat less meat and consume less dairy. Therefore the Guardian and the BBC are against the leftist view on this one and are supporting mega agriculture.

    Just been on the Arla website and read their statemement about Bovaer. They say it's harmless (which of course they would), however, it does say in it's pure form it is corrosive to the eyes, a skin irritant and can be harmful if inhaled, but at the point of being given to the cows, is fine....! Firstly, blaming cows for climate change is ridiculous and secondly, anything that is corrosive to eyes etc is not what we should be giving to cows or anyone else for that matter. Absolute madness!

      how it is safe for cows, is my question. and it if burns eyes/skin, then logically is would significantly increases inflammation in the animals. If there if inflammation in the animals, ESPECIALLY in their gut biome, the nutritional value of milk would suffer significantly. Does that make sense?

    • @davidstephen2253
      @davidstephen2253 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That depends. If you say that the feed additive for methane reduction is a health risk, then that is misinformation. You don't know that it is, or even may be! DSM and others have carried out the trials over years and published their results. This is an additional cost to the industry, so I see no reason they would introduce a hazard to health unless it had some knock-on benefit, and harming customers is not a benefit.
      If you can tell me why the dairy industry would add more cost into their production for no good reason then I'm all ears, please... let me know.

    Cow’s belch methane, however, they do not produce it.
    Methane is produced in the rumen through multiple layers of biological activity.
    This process is essential for rumen health and my question relates to the health of the cow.
    We know reducing the rumen efficiency (lowering methane output) has a detrimental effect on the animal’s health.
    Why is this never considered?

      If everyone only bought organic and grass fed it would be all we had available and would become cheap over time. Only reason all the expensive additives and antibiotics, and GMOs and growth hormone pumped meat is ‘cheap’ is because government subsidises all that crap instead of naturally grown and reared food. Support farmers buying direct too. They get more selling direct to the public and it’s cheaper for us too and helps them. Bypass supermarkets.

    Thank you so much for covering this. Arla did this originally because of the new rules in Denmark. Now, what worried me is that they are getting this into the mix before the UK put tax on every cow in the UK, the way they were going to in Denmark if this product wasn't used. It pushed farmers into a corner. I use some alterative products but that is because I have a choice. Everybody should have a choice and not be pressed into eating/drinking non dairy - which, incidentally, is what the government is striving for. It is a very difficult situation of pushing people exactly where they want people to go by getting us to disagree with something. The Bowler Hat farmer is also doing a huge amount on this dodgy product. Let's face it, they all said glyphosate was good, even though in 2022 it was almost a banned product, but the shareholders kicked off so much they carried on using it and it is now said to be the modern DDT.

    This will end up as a nice boost for the farm shop outlets, now that the supermarket choice is almost non existent regarding preferred alternatives. I would imagine that if many of these dairy products are the norm at all convenient outlets, then most UHT milk is too. This is the type that I use because it doesn't need storing in a fridge using electricity to keep it cold. Thank you for the video and I shop Aldi and Lidl too.

    Sainsbury's (North East) had stock of Graham's gold top and semi skimmed milk which is Bovaer Free. Paynes Farm Dairy (stocked at Spar and B&M as well as some local farm shops) is also Bovaer free. Cathedral City stated in a reply to my message that they are Bovaer free .... for now.

      Ah I popped into my local farm shop this afternoon and they had paynes milk. They said it was bov free too, they've been inundated with customer enquiries and concerns. They are also going to start stocking raw milk from local farms. That's good re your local sainsburys, I cannot wait to visit other supermarkets. My local b&m had freshways milk which is bov free too. I'm genuinely interested in what other chains stock - milk and dairy wise. Who knew a few months ago that this would happen and we'd all become deeply interested in milk and where it comes from. Has got to be a good thing for local bov free farms. I do feel sorry for farms that have signed up for this. I need to find bov free cream!!

      @@budgetcookinguk I've seen a few articles where pretty much all the supermarkets have signed up to Arla, although Sainsbury's will be stopping in January. Possibly this is why they're stocking Graham's now? It's scary just how easily they can manipulate not only the food we eat but people themselves. So many I've spoken to haven't even heard of Bovaer! That's pretty shocking. Thanks for doing these vlogs, it helps to keep us in the know if we're sharing as much as we can

However, I do know that he was requesting, at the time, that the cattle could be still classified as organic [I know crazy what?] and, again, I haven't heard anything since. Seems they are determined to poison us one way or another?

    • @goldeneddie
      @goldeneddie หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Sadly that's no guarantee - not all organic milk may be Bovaer-free. If a dairy company sources milk from non-organic farms or uses a blend of organic and non-organic milk, there’s a possibility that Bovaer could be present. To ensure Bovaer-free organic milk, consumers should look for certifications from reputable organizations like the Soil Association or seek out producers that explicitly state their commitment to organic principles and Bovaer-free practices.

    • @SarahWalker-Smith
      @SarahWalker-Smith หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    • @goldeneddie
      @goldeneddie หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@SarahWalker-Smith Yes, fair enough it's good to check for yourself. Here's the info I've gathered so far:
      1. The label 'organic' means that 95% of the ingredients are organic and must have Certification and codes showing origins.
      2. In the UK, the label “organic” on milk _does not imply or guarantee a specific pasteurization process_ at all. The focus of the organic label is on the farming methods, animal welfare, and environmental practices used to produce the milk, rather than the processing or pasteurization techniques applied to the milk. This means that organic milk in the UK may still undergo pasteurization, but the label “organic” does not provide information about the pasteurization process.
      3. I can't find anywhere any restrictions on 'organically fed' cows only grazing in fields that have not been used by other cows in the trial, which could mean cows grazing grass in fields containing the urine and faeces of trial cows.

Also useful as you can tell if the named brand is the same as the own brand. Bought yoghurt last week. Asda own brand and from code it was produced by Yeo Valley Organic. Yes thats an Arla Brand

      Yep Valley replied to my email and said their organic is free from additives . I know Arlar own some of the company but they have assured me that not their organic because not allowed to add to that . I am confused now with people saying boycott Yeo valley ! Anyone know more please ?

      Where can you look up the code? I can't find anything except a US based thing.

      @@ianjohn3574 Jesaloo! It's going to take
      Hours to get my weekly shop.. I remember the outcry about Halah meat now we don't know what we are buying anywhere. Marks assured me their milk herds do not have the drug but am beginning to doubt everyone.

    These companies should jump on the hype wagon for good publicity and place BIG labels on their products stating "Bovare Free!"

      My Lidl has Graham's Dairies milk and butter. Graham's don't use Bovaer.

      Lidl stock Wyke farms cheese, dont throw the baby out etc. This isn't about binning an entire supermarket, there are still some good finds about.
