I saw farmfoods selling Arla milk. I was so disappointed to see that. Luckily there was also bottles of Payne's Dairy Farm milk being sold too. I bought two of them. I want to support Payne's Farm.

It was good to know where the jersey milk came from. Sometimes, when we're away from home and have to buy milk in a supermarket the Aldi jersey milk is the one we usually go for.

Yes it's not like we can check star bucks Nero ect. Also Macdonald's are using bovear milk so I won't put it past custard and anything with other products using milk creams ect. America eat bovear fed meat and some European countries aswell so this is what to expect if this continues

We are therefore also a member of the Round Table on Responsible Soy Association (RTRS)”. So that’s a no from me. and I will be avoiding all Diary Crest products.
It's crazy because bovaer was classed as a drug in the US because it alters the inside of an animal (& so couldn't be used) until about May 2024, then they declassified it so it could be used despite the fact that it still alters the insides of a cow. Money talks eh and gets through restrictive hoops oh like safety and such.

This is true for packets that have the cheese supplier on the packaging in letter form, like Wyke farm cheese had their name on the front but the cheese was cut and packed by Ornua so it had Ornua code on the back - required because Asda insist on a different shape for their Exceptional brand which Wyke farms machinery can't do. I don't think this is true for own label cheese because it has say for example Aldi Emporium written on the front but the dairy code is where the cheese actually comes from. Obv aldi don't make their own cheese. This is why I like the dairy codes, especially useful for own label dairy foods. All the others, it's not so necessary to look at the dairy codes if it's got Cathedral city written on the front, a quick google search identifies who is behind it. Saputo for CC 😃👍👍

The Food Information Regulations 2014 require a food business to provide information to customers relating to the allergen content of all its food. This means that allergen information must be available on request and it is a criminal offence not to provide this information.
They're just staff. They have no idea. Neither do the managers. Coops can be supplied by different suppliers depending on location. Better to jot down the codes at your usual shop and check them at home, then you'll know what's what. I've started using the Grahams jersey in place of cream (it nearly does the job) which I can get from Coop. Ours (north wales) also does Village Dairy yogs (no bovaer).
Yes dairy code TF 030 is down as TF dairy Ltd, Donnington, Telford in the diary code excel sheet, but looks very much like TM Telford dairy of Donnington, Telford who are owned by muller, so yes I reckon one and the same. Not sure why it's got two names thou

I always thought that us labeling laws were deceptive and I guess I know better now because you're labeling doesn't even tell you and you have to go through codes and try to figure out what code goes to what company. That's ridiculous. Our us packaging says on the front label if they are antibiotic and hormone free. And there are Watchdog organizations that have their own stamp of approval on these packages to prove their claims are verified.
@chrysalis4126 she just went through the milk case looking for milk with hormones. If there are no hormones in milk do you think she doesn't know that? What do you think bovaer is? We don't have hormones in most of our milk either but we don't have to look through codes and try to figure out what company it comes from on the list and then try to figure out from them if they put hormones in it. We just look at the front label and it says no hormones. And you can be sure if your UK companies had to put whether there were hormones in the milk or not on their front label in plain language they would start removing it from their products because people would choose the obvious products without those hormones over theirs. That's exactly what has happened here in the United States which is why almost none of our milk has hormones and you can go right down the line of the dairy case and see right on the front of the package

The Scottish style milk is usually sold out when i get to Aldi where i am. Which is a pain as 2 of the supermarkets near me are Aldis.

Most spreadable butters contain Rapeseed oil which is not a good ingredient

We don't have hormones in our milk unlike the US that's why the thought of bovaer is so unpopular. Antibiotic use is strictly regulated.
