Yes I 110% agree to you to learn Japanese as you're an inspiration to us ( jap car men) all you're really dedicated to your work. If it is even possible I think you'll learn a lot more if you know the language
It'd be like a whole new world when Neil is able to tbh. That's what I felt the first time I saw Alexi converse in the language, really just gives you extra good insight into the culture.
I don't think any other channel could have done the place justice. Your knowledge of the parts is second to none and the respect you show to them is so clear.
The sort of content you cannot buy, or pay to have it because, simply, is only about human beings showing their past to people who they know, they understand, can appreciate and respect every single memory and every single item for what that mean, and not for the economical value. Neil, once again, you show us something imposible to know if not for your work, and i thank you for that.
Great story Neil. A tribute to the history of Japanese racing. I don’t believe any journalist or TH-cam eejit has ever capture it with such human connection to those who lived it.
It’s great that you remain so humble in this world of internet “wallies” but you reap what you sow - it’s clear that people want to engage with you. You don’t force it, you are clearly an incredibly enthusiastic person who’s passionate about the subject matter and that is why you are reaping the rewards. I’ve said it before and i’ll say it again- keep being you and hopefully the Alan Gorithms play ball..!
Arigato Neil !!! The moment you captured his dad's friend reving his car has immortalized him for ever it's so cool love your work cheers for sharing your content.
This was one of the best episodes yet. Seeing the history from a small unknown workshop was fantastic. In case the young fella watches this I want to say a massive thank you to him and his parents for allowing this little insight
I can't explain how much joy your videos bring me man. Whether it's homesickness or what, I'm always left grinning ear to ear the whole way through, thank you so much ❤
The politeness and respect shown here is an absolute credit to you. I love that the channel is evolving into these very human stories. Nowhere else in TH-cam is doing this. I was also thinking that shed could as easily be a barn filled with rally kit in Ireland. Outstanding work.
Man that was absolutely fantastic. Thanks so much for sharing your journey, it was like being stood there with you guys and being part of the experience.
You guys always go above and beyond to uncover jdm history I know I wanna check out the tracks and shops but to just meet locals who really loved that life is just amazing
This whole thing is just amazing. Thanks to Kazu and his family for sharing, it's a window to a world we dreamt of as kids. And, I suppose, most of us still dream of as adults 😁 The sheer variety of cars is crazy too, as well as how many they've managed to keep around. I'd be like a kid in a candy shop around that garage, I can totally understand being overwhelmed by it all! Absolutely mental stuff.
Fascinating story. Just opens Ur mind to what's out there in the land of un told story's of familys steeped in race history in small rural areas all over Japan. Thank you Neil and thank you to the family for letting us all tag along
Class work again, really enjoyed the insight into their world, going through the photo albums was cool, something special about having a bunch of photos from 30+ years ago and physically having them in your hand to look through.
Great work Neil 🎉 without people like you digging into the past like this . The new generation would never know the past like this in such a personal space of an era that has past . 😢 . Revive the old racing spirit and let's all enjoy what car culture is all about ❤❤❤
This was amazing. Thank you so much for capturing this content and being as respectful as you are to the people you are interacting with as part of this. Although obviously some of us here (myself very much included) wish they could make memories exactly like these today, the people who did deserve to share this stuff on their own terms. Andrew put it best even if it was jokingly... Neil thank you so so much!
Fantastic video and a look at the past that so few get to see. You’re living your best life digging out these nuggets of the past for others to enjoy. While they were racing we were laboring to make house payments and raise children at daily jobs. Now your traveling the world, from Japan the US, Poland, Canada all for the passion of motorsports. ✌️
UNREAL good story. It gives a guy goosebumps some of the crap your able to dig up, find out and lay eyes and hands on. Your quickly becoming one of the very best in the world when it comes to true Japanese car culture history....Juice Box Museum one day!?!? 😉💪👌
Lovely the video i had a blast watching this. I wonder what the story behind the red porsche is. i cant help it. XD al the ather cars they got make more sense then the porsche based on family history. But yeah insane they where realy living a racing life as a family.
Don't get me wrong, the other cars are sad to see, but those cars like the 86 were produced to just be an economy car and have now become special, but that Porsche was always meant to be a special car from the moment they were produced. Absolutely heartbreaking to see that Porsche like that
Very enjoyable video. I am based in Australia and own a Honda Z360 like the one toward the end of your video . I am in the process of putting a K6A engine in from the HA21S alto works rsz. What I really need some help with is finding out what front suspension they are using with the adjustable camber strut caps. My wife is Japanese and still has family in Japan so that would help in purchasing. If there is someway you could find out from the young man that is in the video or provide me with an email address so I could ask him? Please let me know if there is another way we can communicate as to not have to do it via youtube. Would really appreciate your help. Keep up the great work!
I dont understand why people let such sentimental cars rot away in bushes i just dont its so sad. Make the sun cut the grass and cover them with something if there is no room like why let them die
Time to learn Japanese Neil, you're born to be some kind of petrolhead historian
Yes I 110% agree to you to learn Japanese as you're an inspiration to us ( jap car men) all you're really dedicated to your work. If it is even possible I think you'll learn a lot more if you know the language
Yeah, got to be honest it seems he almost is obliged at this stage
It'd be like a whole new world when Neil is able to tbh. That's what I felt the first time I saw Alexi converse in the language, really just gives you extra good insight into the culture.
These last 2 videos are great! Love the background on the family and their shed to follow up the kei race video
So good ey
Cheers! Really enjoyed putting these together!
I don't think any other channel could have done the place justice. Your knowledge of the parts is second to none and the respect you show to them is so clear.
One of the best vids on the channel was that endurance race, hoping Monster gets use back next year for another race
yeah i like Monster now unironically LOL

50 years of nostalgia and great seeing and part 2 of kei to happiness
Love looking back to an era that will never happen again. Thanks to Kazu and his family from Canada!
Great story Neil. A tribute to the history of Japanese racing. I don’t believe any journalist or TH-cam eejit has ever capture it with such human connection to those who lived it.
The contrast to that kinda loud American style of TH-cam is totally stark. A wee bit of Irish good manners.
This content is class. I'd love to get some Freeway Racing merch. That'd be cool.

@30:03 It's surreal to see a big juicebox sticker on the roof of a car in this garage 😁
Arigato Neil !!! The moment you captured his dad's friend reving his car has immortalized him for ever it's so cool love your work cheers for sharing your content.
💕
This was one of the best episodes yet. Seeing the history from a small unknown workshop was fantastic. In case the young fella watches this I want to say a massive thank you to him and his parents for allowing this little insight
F3 is no joke, and Bardahl is SERIOUS! They were huge in the 70s and 80s and into the 90s. This is all so incredible, great work as always Neil.
I can't explain how much joy your videos bring me man. Whether it's homesickness or what, I'm always left grinning ear to ear the whole way through, thank you so much ❤

@19:48 that yellow sunny looks like it's a Ford mark 2 escort lovely episode
there are some rally family's like that in Ireland too 🇮🇪
Things to watch over Christmas. Can’t complain about that

Great on you for telling this story. Love seeing the generational racers family. We rarely see this kind of cool content.
This is just insane 😭😩,, not to mention the 86/85 parked there 20+ years , these places really are time capsules of a better era…great video lads

Thank you Neil for these videos. Learning the history of the family takes it to another level.

Sensational lads, what a journey it's been!
Should've popped the hoods on the X2's! Super cool to see old race skis sitting in JAPAN!

Sickboys theory of life. Beautifully explained.
Wow what an insight into Japanese racing family heritage!

Love from malaysian ❤❤🇲🇾
excellent and I'm sure there are similar families in Ireland but not have the same amount of cars and parts around or maybe
Lovely the video i had a blast watching this. I wonder what the story behind the red porsche is. i cant help it. XD al the ather cars they got make more sense then the porsche based on family history. But yeah insane they where realy living a racing life as a family.
My dad used to drive awesome race cars.
He still does, but he used to too.
Hearing the accent
“ R X tree……Savana “ 😊
He needs a garage parts sale to help fund finishing the garage to put this stuff under cover.

2 min ago is crazy
You should learn japanese man, of all people!
