As the Crow he’s talking about how the music industry tried to change him by telling him what to wear, kiss our ass/suck up to us, how and what to write, how to act and behave. He knows who he is and will make a name for himself by being who he is, not the industry molding him and putting him in a box. He won’t conform. He can write AND sing his own songs! He can put out his authentic self and we love him anyways.
I don't buy CD's as a rule since music more or less died after the 70's both rock and country, but I bought this album and its a game changer.(I'm 63 and still rocking)
He's transitioning to country-rock and this is the transitional song on his new album. It's half country/half rock and so is the album. He's doing his own thing, not giving up country, but also giving it his rock sound. Try "Sold Out," which will help give it some context, too. :) So many country artists have the same sound (a lot of which Hardy has written) and he's not willing to remain one of the crowd.
Thank you Melly (one of my good friends is named Melly). I think we’re gonna have to do a reaction to “sold out” very soon based on all the comments we are getting about it. Thank you for supporting us. - C -
he has written 11 #1 songs but has written them for half of the artists in Nashville. 157 songs and counting, including Blake Shelton's "gods country." You should check out his songs,"a rock, " "one beer, " and "sold out. " Great reaction
Jack is one of my favorite songs on the album, along with I ain't in the country no more. Such story telling in his rock songs as well as his country songs. He IS a songwriting genius!
Hardy is such an interesting character. He’s country but he’s rock and he is a fantastic songwriter. He’s written hits for Florida Georgia Line and many of the other biggest names and country music and he’s also released many number ones of his own. He found a way to blend country music into rock music and blur the line about which is actually which. Love Hardy.
This song goes for two analagies as i see it. 1) Him paving his own way in the industry that tells you what to do that they have polled and think are popular. 2) him coming to the front stage insteaf of him jist ghost writting for other "mockingbirds" in the industry while being stuck to those guidelines. In the end its like he found a good balance between the two.
When he talks about how his songs sound like other artists songs it's because he's written hits for some of the biggest country artists in the 21st century
🦉🦋 🦉🦋 🦉🦋 The first half of the song he's the mockingbird. And the second half he's singing as the crow. Explaining his music career, from how he began to how he's decided to be now 😍The man is brilliant!!
Hardy has a song called " Here Lies Country Music" , the video is like this an Lyric video that I think you would like it, the song pays homage to what country music used to be.
One major part of this song is that HARDY, respectfully as he's known, wrote a lot of country songs that people enjoy today. And when I say a lot, I'm not just bull shitting. But Michael (HARDY) doesn't want to feel like they're forced towards being a part of a certain genre, but let's be honest.....Hardy's fine. And he's found his own fame doing the music he wants, and it's obviously working. Hell I love his new shit
@@CedricandBrian not famous, they turned down the offer because of their families (us kids were young) it was my Dad, Uncle and cousin. All of them were raised musically and performed locally for over 40 years.

crows are actually one of the smartest animals in the world almost equal to chimpanzees. they tend to eat decomposing flesh like vultures. they are amazing animals
Half of the album of country and half is rock-- this song is placed in the middle as the divider--- The song "A Rock" is a little slower but also good--
The mockingbird part is him talking crap about country music industry and even some of the songs that he has wrote for other artists and how they all talk about the same stuff and how repetitive country music is and then the crow is a big FU to the industry and how he is going his own way
Hardy has 12 #1’s at 31 years old he’s a legend in the making
Indeed, he is. Thanks for watching our channel, we appreciate it. - C /

Thank you Melody, we will definitely have to dig a little bit deeper into the Hardy catalog. Thank you for the recommendations, my friend. - C -
"A Rock" is one of the most well written songs ever.
@wesphillips3246 agreed it is such a simple concept, but so true also. HARDY is a lyrical genius.
Gotta check out “Jack” next by Hardy! Awesome song!
Thank you for the recommendation Wesley! We will check that out soon my friend. - C -

Much agreed, "Jack" is amazing, and I'm driving my wife crazy by listening to it repeatedly.
This album is pure genius. Truly a masterpiece. The deeper you dig the more you find out!
i'm a die hard modern metal guy but my god hardy has opened my eyes to country ever since I discovered him! great reaction, guys!
The mocking bird part of Hardy’s work is the country and the crow is the rock. Which is the concept of the album
Half country Half rock
Hardy is amazing. He makes music his way. A true singer songwriter

His half country half rock and roll record drop’s January 20th
Now that sounds like a great way to start off the year. Thanks for the recommendation my friend. - C -
Country songs are in lowercase letters. Rock songs are in capital letters. That’s why it’s like that in the video.

Do “Jack” by hardy. It’s got a music video and it’s more of the rock sound!! Love y’all’s reaction to this
There is a Claymation video of this song. It's quite interesting. BTW, all of Hardy's rock song titles are in capital letters.
Happy New year guys!!! Great song ❤❤❤

Yes, three chords and the truth. I misspoke. - B -
He's no longer a mockingbird chasing the crows. By becoming the crow, the mockingbirds will have to chase him instead.
You nailed it Erik!! 👍🏾. - C -
A Suggestion for a "new" classic that young ppl. can learn from is Volbeat.
No he wrote all there shit, and now he's doing his shit.
Y’all need to react to truck bed by hardy!
He didn't COPY anyone he wrote for Blake,Shelton, Morgan Wallen, Fla. Ha. Line ETC.
He was talking about Initially Writing and not singing his work.
I'm obsessed with crows they are NOT loners btw...smarter than most people.
Please react the Hard "Screen" or "Happy"...or both 😃
Thank you!
The mocking bird is comfortable. It sounds like other birds. The crow is loud, brash and unapologetic in its behavior.
Sold Out Wall to Wall by Hardy
Crows, magpies, etc eat smaller birds, so the mocking birds are keeping the birds away from their nests and their young.
No he's been writing the best songs he just didn't perform them. Now he's like fuck it I'm the crow singing my own songs.
crows are actually one of the smartest animals in the world almost equal to chimpanzees. they tend to eat decomposing flesh like vultures. they are amazing animals
