Just so everyone knows this content is not recorded recently it’s around 6 months old we have read all the comments from the previous videos and taken a lot on board especially about the cam belt and timing issue 😂 we will show more in the future might have to keep the sierra footage as a separate extra series !
@@BCB have you had the head rebuilt ? Weir street machine shop is the place to go in Blackburn if it needs a skim and any other machining, might be worth getting a big set of cams and valves if your going full send on her. 👍

Cambelt slipped and bent an intake valve, that’s why it’s pushing flames out the combustion chamber and out the intake.
While there are bits of interest, I do prefer your normal daily banter. Unfortunately you can't please us all.

It is a pity that they have not realised some people are not interested in this rebuild. A replica Cosworth. why not a 5-8-minute bit every video instead of filling their entire midweek video.

Bent valve if you read comments, do a compression test will telll ya
Just because it started and ran doesn't mean the timing is right not after the way it stopped, your first port of call should be checking the timing especially the way it's back firing and the sound it's making when being turned over, sounds like compression is low now.

the cambelt has slipped or come off , remove the cam belt cover and check timing , I can tell by the sound of it cranking
Just get someone proper on the job it will be fixed same-day instead of assing about he is clearly no mechanic

Honesty guys this man has no clue what he's doing. Soo painful to watch.. That thing isn't driving anywhere next week. It'll need a head rebuild or head replacement or a new engine that's definitely jumped timing And bent intake valves. Hence the lack of compression and coughing back.

James you made me laugh at 18:27 of the video checking to see if your hands was dirty and because they was not you started touching the dirty bits of the engine lol I know this video made not be everyone cup of tea but I bet it hard to record all the time when they are busy keep up the good work lads
If you had the Focus ST(why not an RS?), why didn't take the wiring loom, ecu, fuel pump, everything off??
Just watched 2half Where all them intake valves closed ?n they shud be clean its port injection so fuels always cleaning them
I'm sure that cambelt snapped or it slipped as it was running then a horrible sound and now it's turning over to fast so the bottom end is spinning but the camshafts are not turning that engine could be nackered if the pistons could of hit the valves John should know this as he ment to be a mechanic he should of checked the cambelt before he started it 🤬 sake take the cover off the timeing belt and look as your waisting your time with anything else as like I said that engine could be fucked now I bet I'm not the only person saying this in the comments

Hi guys that has slipped a tooth on the timing, first and easy check take timing belt cover off and make sure the timing marks line up you know it was ok then stopped now has a typical sound of the timing out 😡come one easy first check timing could be something else that caused it to slip but must check it first

Did run briefly but won't run again until u fix that cam belt n time it up right.getn a bit ahead of yourself with parts when should be checking compression etc 1st make sure the engines worth keeping in it
Three Tonne is worth his weight in gold can do everything
Bit of advance when working on someones car the person who owns it tell them to sod of so you can get some work done

james the timming has jumped mate its not going to start untill you sort the timming out and possibly need new valves because the bent when it cut out after it first started and stopped with it knocking

Your over complicating this engine,, you can turbo a standard inlet manifold with good results,, aluminum intake off a late xr2i or similar is better
