Thanks Cory. My biggest problem doing VANLIFE videos is confidence. I watch them and think I totally suck at it and don’t do anything for awhile because I’m actually embarrassed. I put off editing my spring training video because I hate it but I think I’ll do it anyway. Who am I to judge? LOL. Thanks again!!
Just how many are hitting on you, lol, put me on the list, lol, its probably lime trying to get so.ething on market place, ha ha. But really great bunch of information, thank you !
Hi. Appreciate your description including your Lil baby needing time to warm up to people. Use to foster Pit bulls and a few foster failures. Lol. Respect to you for taking care of this wonderful Lil guy and accommodating his needs. Happy and safe travels to both of you. 🙏🐾😎
Thanks😊... Currently looking for jobs for van life. Seems like most want you to be totally self contained😕. New sub🥰... Getting ready to build mine out, looking for ideas. I also have a dog 🐩
Thanks for subscribing. Host job is perfect for dog owners. FYI: I'm not fully contained. My sink drains to the ground. I do have an alternate drain and bucket for a gray tank if needed but I've never used it. I use all biodegradable stuff. And I use a port-a-potty. All campgrounds have bathrooms/vault toilets to use. I told the company I have a high top camper van and left it at that. Containment never came up. I must have watched a zillion build out videos. Watch a bunch more then come back and tell me what you like and I'll see if it's possible in your van. I set mine up so I would have everything I like handy.
I enjoyed your video. I like the detail. Very informative. As a kid, we used to go watch the California Angels do their Spring training. They had a ball field in Holtville, Ca. That was in the 1970's. Enjoy the baseball! Thanks, and I subscribed!
Hi. I bought it on Temu. $32.48. 70" x 52" according to their website. Here is a link: www.temu.com/goods.html?_bg_fs=1&goods_id=601099515729134&_x_msgid=211-20231227-23-B-682254251841753088-427-yEA5nGN4&_x_src=mail&refer_page_name=bgt_order_detail&refer_page_id=10045_1708138958256_5cq3nsnv5s&refer_page_sn=10045&_x_sessn_id=jprwkabq8p
Great summary. I did this for seven seasons over 20 years ago with the State Park system - payment details were different. I feel like you covered Host life very well without missing a lick! Great job, happy trails to you and your bud! Subscribed, thanks!
I was there for one week. I was in the black high top across from the Gypsy center camp in between Kelly and Marco. I walked around a lot with Ricky. I had stuff to do Yuma and I wanted to be at the spring training opening so I had to go. Sorry to miss you. Thanks for subscribing. I’ll do likewise.
I took care of 19 sites where I lived and a group site 1/2 mile up the road and was paid for 35 hours of work per week. I actually worked about 24. This past summer I took care of 21 sites where I lived and 15 sites at two other campgrounds up the road and was paid for 40 hours. I worked close to that.
@groyourownathome-howtogrow6238 Thankyou you so much, you are so detailed, I've been thinking about this for six years and I also went to AZ for 3 winters and a few van builds in Quartsite, wish you the best on your ventures, sincerely Mattie
Howdy, Vince I am fulltime campground host for Oregon State Parks 3 yrs now. I've been looking for a concessionaire to work for... Your video came at an opportune time. ODPR only offers free rent [full service RV site] & laundry. Getting paid a stipend/wage would be super! Signing up with Vista tonight... Happy trails, Ms. CharLee 🧓, Angel 🚐& Nikki 🐕
I grossed $546 per week which includes $37 per pay propane reimbursement for 5.5 months. State parks are really nice but I’d rather get paid too. There are dozens of campgrounds between Bend and Crescent OR. I’m sure you’ll find something really soon. Thanks for subscribing.
Great question. I forgot to mention time off. Where I worked I worked 5 days per week and my choices for off days were either Monday and Tuesday or Wednesday and Thursday. I
I started with a Will Proust designed 400 Watt, 300 AH AGM battery system but have upgraded. Now I have 400 WATTS of solar on the roof along with two portable 200 WATT panels and two 260 AH Lifepo4 batteries. I researched a lot but didn’t want to spend $1000 per battery 3 years ago. A system would be okay. Add up all the watts you would use, add a little more then get a system that will produce enough power. Have enough to cover the lower sun during the winter months and overcast days. During the winter I’m lucky to get 50 % out of my panels. I traveled through Texas in January of 2021 and camped at Lake Meredith for a few days and froze my butt every night. I would like to check out the Gulf coast one of these days. Thanks for watching. ☮️
Saw many videos on campground hosts and your video had the most detail and very informative! Keep making videos educating us!😊
I will! Thanks for awesome comment.
Great video. Better than most.

I'm looking forward to more videos
We're at spring training now and I hope to get something up soon.

I plan on seeing some Dodgers game to get a glimpse of you know who. Thank you and Thanks for subscribing.
Love seeing Ricky 😊
He’s awesome.
Also, I like that screen in your doorway. Can you add the link for it or give the size because my van is the same size.
Thanks

Love it. Keep smiling and walk on!
Great video. Good luck on your next adventure. I loved the Cleveland Indians. Rocky Colavito, Mini Monoso, Herb Score. You Rock Cleveland Indians!
Jimmy Piersall, Mudcat Grant, Jim Perry, Max Alvis I could on and on. I'm there now. I feel like a little kid. I may go buy a mitt. Thanks

Subscribed, thanks!
Biggest change since your time is probably the reservation systems being used. Campers dislike it. I liked it a lot. Thanks for subscribing.
#445 subscriber 💚💚great video.... awesome job for retirement.....work a few months take the rest of the year off ...win. Win. 😊
It's great if you want to get away from the same old same old summer. Thanks!!
Great video new subscriber. Don't know if I would do that. But it's sure nice to hear about it. Thanks.
Welcome aboard.
Dernit! I guess i missed you at VAN Aide. I'm still here at American Girl Mine. I would have liked to meet you two.

Good information!
New subscriber. ❤
Thank You and Thank You again. I forgot to mention that it’s a great job if you have a dog. You’re never far away and it’s for short periods of time.

What solar do you have…did you research or just go with a brand?
I really enjoyed listening to you. Do you get to Texas?

So, what are you trying to say?😅
I didn’t think cam lifers wanna work. Half of them are on tube looking for donations.
I can only speak for myself. I work cause I need more money to live. My retirement hasn’t been enough money for quite awhile.
What's a cam lifer
