Very cool. I had the exact same Big thick black Rush guitar book too learning what i could. I didn't learn everything that's for sure. Keep it up. Long live Rush.
Wow! I give you an A+ for pulling that off... fantastic job! But seriously, not the right song for a solo guitar. Why? The song was meant to be Full and rich of Chords, Harmonic sounds and well Orchestrated on a Grand level with a building climatic ending, and for that this is not the right song for a single acoustic guitar.Perhaps other acoustic guitars and other singers to add to the harmony would have helped... but really I cannot complain- for what you did, you nailed it pretty well! Awesome job! Dude!
Hi there, Simon here and thanks for your comments. The song is certainly a challenge for a solo acoustic performance. It's certainly a tune that thrives in a harmonic rich environment but I think Karl's take on the song really brings Neil's lyrics front and center. The boy did good! :-)
You’re awesome man!!
Astonishing.
One of my favourite Rush songs, so you were on dangerous ground...and you totally aced it ! Brilliant version !

Not a Rush song that I'd have expected to hear as an acoustic arrangement... but that worked very nicely.
Thanks!

There is Rush and then there is less.
