THE MAKING OF EVOLVER - TRIBE OF NAMES
Welcome back to the channel and in this special episode, we document the three year process of recording the Tribe of Names album, Evolver.
If there was something that could go wrong, it did go wrong. The band battled through building a new recording studio, line up changes and of course, a global pandemic to make things extra interesting. It was a long road but you can't keep a good band down.

    Great tips. Any chance you could share your preset for using a piezo? I also have a Fishman Powerbridge and run a stereo out of my guitar into the Guitar and Aux Ins. I've been doing that since the POD HD 500 days! But its always been a struggle to get a good 'acoustic' sound. Would love to see what you're doing. Thanks!

    I had my doubts about this pedal because of the look, but I saw it used in a store and thought I would try it out. I was immediately impressed by the build quality, and the size was nice too. I tried it out and it did everything I was expecting, plus it had the pulsing light to indicate the speed, so I picked it up. The vibrato is kind of useless due to the genre I play in, but everything else works like a charm. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes an intuitive design in a small, high quality build package. This is the first chorus pedal I've owned and probably the last.

    Guitar strings are similar to drum heads, I think. The wrong heads on an expensive drum still sound terrible. Good, appropriate, well-tuned, heads on a cheap drum can sound pretty awesome.

    • @everythingtoexcess
      @everythingtoexcess ปีที่แล้ว

      Pretty easy. I split the piezo into the aux in and then I can process it separately. I got a pretty good acoustic IR, then add a compressor and the tube mic preamp model and whatever effects I want. There’s a thing about it in the video.

      Depends on what I’m going for and who I’m playing with. Generally between 120 and 150, but I’ve been known to go as high as 200 or 250 to make the overall band mix less cluttered.
