  • I found these two twin bed frames in the junk lot of an old thrift shop by my mom’s house and while they were a bit warped and icky, I knew I could give them a second life. Since they just had the metal rails, I was short a bit of wood so I just grabbed what I had around me to finish the job.

    Your girl is back saying "day-um!" That turned out amazing!!!! Plus, I learned that there's a small kreg jig available. I've been wanting to get one but didn't know they made them that small. Yay for the added bonus. Looking forward to your collab. I'm thinking you'll get a lot of visibility and subs from joining in on it. You deserve the subs!!!

    • @elegantupgrades
      @elegantupgrades  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Kim- THANK YOU! I’m definitely crossing my fingers for the collaboration to be a success! I honestly don’t even know why they asked me- tiny fish and all, but I’m super excited about it. And yes! Small Kreg Jig for the win- it’s only around $14 too so it was an easy buy for sure.

    • @kimaoyama9594

      @@elegantupgrades They asked you because your content is excellent. Small fish or not, you have great info and it's well produced. Once you hit a certain sweet spot you'll bring on subs like crazy. I just know it. This collab will definitely give you some good exposure to the types who will sub and most of all WATCH your videos.

    I love how this turned out. I’ve always wanted to try making one.
    I think you might want to fill the screw holes left from the pocket holder as that would be a spot moisture would gather(if used outdoors ) potentially rusting the screws and cause wood to decay. 🤷🏻‍♀️ just a cleaner look.

    • @elegantupgrades
      @elegantupgrades  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! And I agree about filling the holes! I actually plan on getting the dowels that are specifically for the pocket holes. They look so good when finished, I just keep forgetting to put them in my Amazon cart 😂

    Should have put a 2 × 4 in the middle of the bench

    • @elegantupgrades
      @elegantupgrades  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would have if it needed it structurally, but it was strong enough without it. The 2x4 would have just added weight to it. Thanks for watching, Kathleen. I appreciate it.

  • @gurubhaikhalsa9337

    Why didn't you fill the pocket holes with wood filler?

    • @elegantupgrades
      @elegantupgrades  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m not a huge fan of filling them with wood filler because then it’s a huge pain trying to disassemble. But if it’s a permanent pocket hole, I do like to use the wooden dowels.
