Another beautiful re-imagining of furniture. I would like to thank you for showing other paint options besides chalk/mineral paint! Enamels have been a go-to when I am painting things like kitchen cabinets, bookcases and tables. I love watching your channel because I learned that the Wagner Flexio can handle enamel without thinning, which is new information.I love the update on these tables!🌸
I’ve watched a number of your videos over the last year and have been consistently impressed by the time you put into prep and your attention to detail. You don’t cut corners and it shows in the finished pieces. 🤩
That is an amazing transformation! Also, I would be interested if you would make a video showing how you clean your paint sprayer and brushes properly. I worry about not cleaning mine the right way and would love your tips! Keep up the great work!
That came out nice! Very dated at the beginning, I honestly couldn’t imagine it looking like something anyone would want - very impressed with the result! Nice job!
Beautiful looking furniture !! The black is fitting so well with the classic look off the side and coffee tables witch i was not expecting ! So a great surprise as always and you must have the way you want to change the furniture already in your head before even starting. That is a proof off your fine taste to transform furniture ! Loving it !
So pretty, but they are definitely worth more. We are blessed you share your knowledge, plus, you have the happiest smile on TH-cam. Puts me in a good mood.
12:02 Katie I LOVE this transformation! I live in Florida and this is a modern way to reinvent this style furniture that is so popular here. In fact my first apartment had this coffee table and end tables in a bright tropical yellow/green color in 1980! Lol!
Wow. I never would have come up with painting the cane a light color. I probably would have painted it all the same color. You have great vision into how to handle upgrading those tables. ...my mom has some very similar to those.
Gorgeous! And I really appreciate all your teaching details such as what you are using and especially why you are using it! And I love your thoughts on pricing, that's always hardest for me to figure out.
Katie you are a gem. This is one of those videos when I was thinking, ""What would possess her to buy that. This is a disaster."" And again you magically made what was monstrous, beautiful.
These pieces are lovely Katie. Good to know the orange peel finish will level out with the proper type of paint. I struggled with this on some of my pieces so would revert back to a paint brush.
I like old school furniture and I have been looking for something and I was going to refinish the wood but you might have just inspired me to redo my old furniture. Today's stuff is mainly chip board cheep stuff.
My parents had a set of these rectangle coffee and side tables. They had Smokey glass and brass corners protectors. I ended up putting them on Craigslist for free because the thrift store didn’t want them. I’m sure they were made over similarly. Which is what I wanted. Divert them from the landfill. Yours came out awesome.😊
They turned out beautiful! I just got my Wagner gun yesterday and need to paint a couple side tables with. I'll try this paint on them. The finishing looks great! You also have me the inspiration on what to go with the top. They had a layer of leather in the middle that was damaged and need to take out but it will leave me with a small deep. This cane would look great on it! Thank you for sharing!
Just found you, OBSESSED. Im thinking of starting this sort of business and I plan on binging your entire channel for the next million hours. Thank you
thank you Katie for posting this video!! I found the same coffee table here in New Zealand and I followed your tutorial to flip it. I’m so so happy with the result.
My grandma still has this set. I have loved it since i was a kid and have most definitely told her I want it if she ever gets rid of it. She is still holding out on me. Lol
Thank you for showing how to paint cane. Earlier today, I passed up a gorgeous cane piece at the thrift store because it had a lot of discoloration. I might go back for it on Monday.
These were so stunning. I've ALWAYS disliked this style of furniture. Holy cow the transformation was so amazing! I actually love them now.
My Folks had ALL of this furniture in their house !!!! 😃 Your results look great !

I agree. Learning so much from you that I plan to apply to my own furniture.
I want to say that I love love LOVE that you did the bottoms of these!!!
That makes the difference between a diy look and a professional job.
Thank you for showing the spray painting in real time!
I will not turn my nose up at this style anymore. You’ve shown how gorgeous they can be, Katie.
I’ve watched a number of your videos over the last year and have been consistently impressed by the time you put into prep and your attention to detail. You don’t cut corners and it shows in the finished pieces. 🤩
‘Wow - the sander that picks up the dust. Love it🎉
I had a set of these tables in early 1990s. I loved them.
The art of mastering black paint in an all white outfit !!! 👍👍👍
Nice job!
You definitely took these from meh to marvelously modern. Great transformation!👏👏👏
Awesome job! Thank you for explaining what Alkyd paint is and it's advantages! I had no idea what this stuff was! ❤️
This is a beautiful reuse of a perfectly good set of furniture. Love it Katie ❤
Beautiful job restoring these tables. It never would have occurred to me to do this black finish. The caning really makes them perfect.
What a makeover!!! So current now! ❤
Everything. You. Touch. Turns. To. Gold. Woow!
I have some similar tables and want to update them because they are still in great shape. Thanks for the inspiration Katie! Love the transformation!
Oh wow, those tables were a steal! And they turned out beautifully.

You are amazing. You do such quality work - even painting 2 coats underneath where no one ever sees.
So pretty, but they are definitely worth more. We are blessed you share your knowledge, plus, you have the happiest smile on TH-cam. Puts me in a good mood.
They look really good updated with black paint!
These are absolutely beautiful! Thank you for taking the time to share the process and products used.

Wow, these turned out beautiful! And I'm even more amazed that you can wear white while painting black! I would have been a mess!
What a new life you gave these tables. Definitely modernized. Great job Katie. Happy Easter.
Happy Easter 🐣 🐰
I did this several months ago to tables like this. Your tables are beautiful.
Wow. I never would have come up with painting the cane a light color. I probably would have painted it all the same color. You have great vision into how to handle upgrading those tables. ...my mom has some very similar to those.
Love, love, love - the console is my favourite piece. ❤
Great contrast, beautiful finish. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you too!
Gorgeous!

Good job Katie! That set can become beloved members of someone’s household now. The black is a very classy look.
Katie you are a gem. This is one of those videos when I was thinking, ""What would possess her to buy that. This is a disaster."" And again you magically made what was monstrous, beautiful.
The tables look FABULOUS!!!
Love it! You are such a paint sprayer pro! I used that same type of paint for my cabinets in a white with a brush and it holding up so well!

Stunners!! I just love that cane is popular again. These look amazing!!
Oh my! I had this exact set, 2 of the end tables and the exact coffee table! Broyhill, I believe, bought in ‘82.
What an upgrade! Your imagination and skill are spectacular!
Another stunning transformation.
I love these pieces! What a great way to make a dated octagon coffee table modern again.
These pieces look fabulous!
The cane stuff looks so fresh 👌🏻

I especially like the console, but that cane is beautiful. 😃
I like old school furniture and I have been looking for something and I was going to refinish the wood but you might have just inspired me to redo my old furniture.

I have the same set of tables, I was going to give them to Good Will- now I have changed my mind, thank you ❤
My parents had a set of these rectangle coffee and side tables. They had Smokey glass and brass corners protectors. Oh Katie the tables are beautiful. You should keep them for your livingroom furniture.
Thank you for showing how to paint cane. Earlier today, I passed up a gorgeous cane piece at the thrift store because it had a lot of discoloration. I might go back for it on Monday.
