    I think using hot milk instead of cold can help speed up the process and avoid refrigerating overnight. Rest the mixture of oat and hot milk for 10-15 minutes and you are good to go for the next step.

    Okay I just made this I got 10 pancakes out of the recipe and let me tell you I'm going to keep making this you don't need to put nothing on it once it's made.. it's so easy to do put in refrigerator overnight then pull it out and smash bananas in their put a little oil if you want in your no stick pan or put no oil I sprayed some oil I had spray oil and I made 10 and let me tell you eat three of them and your fill and it's good for you the calorie count is next to nothing.. I use 1% milk too.. thank you for this great recipe it has filled me up and I'm going to make it continuously

    I like that! Oats and milk, a little cinnamon, ginger, and in the morning add some baking powder. Fry in butter for fried oatmeal cookies.
    Udon noodles for diabetics, buckwheat flour. 1/3 of that of corn starch. make dough, roll out and cut. Have a pot of boiling water and slip them in. Works well with rice flour sourdough as well.

  • @TiredMomma
    @TiredMomma หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    I tried it. First I used a coffee grinder to turn the oats into a slight powder consistancy.
    Almost got 8 small pancakes out of them. I added sunflower oil. Flipping them over was not so easy.
    Tried without oil, easier to flip over, and they seem like soft oat cookies.
    Certainly a recipe I will keep! 😊

    Very nice recipe, but I altered it a bit for my taste. I found the oats a bit too chewy, so after I’d made half the pancakes I blitzed the mixture with a hand blender and added 1Tbsp rice flour and 1/4 tsp Baking Powder. It made them lighter and less chewy, but very delicious. Plenty sweet enough without sugar. Thanks for the recipe.

    • @heatherjay8802
      @heatherjay8802 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      A similar “pancake”, if you’re looking for something less chewy, is -
      1 banana, 1 egg and cinnamon to taste, all mashed together. (BTW, I use a potato masher rather than a fork, particularly handy if the bananas aren’t very soft)
      I cook as one large pancake, cut in half to flip, then serve on frozen berries with Greek yoghurt. (I use frozen berries as they’re usually available & more convenient than fresh & the heat of the pancake quickly thaws them)
      Just noticed this recipe below……oh well, now you know more than one person likes it!

    I only use 1banana, sometimes I use
    Unsweetened vanilla almond milk, I add real vanilla extract and raisins and fry on low heat in coconut oil,just enough to keep them from sticking.
    You can also sub a banana for an apple...and cinnamon is always added to the mix. I never use quick oats.

      Since it's being soaked overnight, I don't think the type of oats matter. I don't buy quick oats either.
