Thoroughly enjoying your daily videos! I look forward to seeing your name in the notifications to see what you're going to talk about each day. Your holiday cactus is gorgeous! I don't think I've seen one as beautiful as that one!

Thanks for your reply to my plant question. I’ll be more aware next year so I get more blooms.😊

I love your holiday cactus, I have kept one alive for 2 years but it never flowers.

The best way to get it to flower is to give it a period of rest. They need periods where the temps drop but not below freezing and the nights get darker. So I will put mine outside in the fall so they have that natural period of cooler nights and early sunsets. Also decrease the watering at this time. Then 6-8 weeks later you should have flowers.

@@gingergerald yeah, you explained how you do it in a previous video. I’ve thought about trying it but that’s as far as I got. I’m just happy it’s alive…lol I have 4 houseplants that I’ve kept in a semblance of life for a couple years which is great for me. I do much better with outdoor plants.

Hi. Love your 'meal planning' philosophy. I had to laugh when you said you may eat rice with just eggs. As a cultural note, we Cubans call rice with eggs as a 'prostitute's meal' since it's quick and easy and anyone can do it!

I had a restless night too. Thanks for addressing meal prep. I don't blame you a bit for wanting flexibility. It's the spice of life, right? Wow! Your work on the steins is very nice! I'm hoping to sit down to stitch later today too. Love from Minnesota!

If you are willing to share, it would be fun to hear more about you. What kind of work you do... and you said you grew up cooking for a lot of people, did you have lots of siblings? Also, I enjoy the music you add that sounds a bit polka-ish, it's fun!

Great video. Do you have trouble with the background showing in full-coverage cross stitch projects?

I have had insomnia for several years, that good ol time we women hit in our non childbearing years, lol. Love your Christmas cactus, it is gorgeous. Would love to see how you set up your craft area. I have a master set of dmc also for backup. When I moved to AZ, I lost access to a LNS. The closest one is over 2 hours away, so, 123stitch it is for me now. I can get floss and yarn from Hobby Lobby, so at least there’s that!
Are you done with your doctorate? You haven’t mentioned it in awhile, so I was curious. Is it a PhD or EdD? I like the office wall with your Riolis animals. I have the snowy owl (I love owls and songbirds), but am waiting to finish my current projects before starting it.
I like the steins as separate pieces. It will look great as a set when completed!
