I don't mind daily updates but will probably binge once a week. I'm happy to see you and have missed your videos! Love your stitching and knitting and am excited to see more of your new home. It looks positively lovely!

My word for the year is PAUSE. The world is so frenetic and I want to slow down and enjoy what is around me

Love variety in vlogs, so thank you. No need to be all stitch stuff.

I hadn't thought about a New Years resolution until watching your video. I really like the idea of choosing a word to try to live up to for the year. I have decided to do just that. I have chosen "joy". I hope to bring joy to those around me and in some way make their day happier. Rather than always focusing on the bad things happening both near and far I hope to brighten someone's day in some way.

I like all four of your 'resolutions'. I need to adopt them all. Happy New Year!

I love your reflective practices. My motto for this year is "live like someone left the gate open', meaning get up, get out and make some memories. Doesn't have to involve money at all. Running, rowing, cooking at home, gardening in the summer and leaving the house regularly. Looking forward to seeing you daily.

    Such a great video!!!!
I have challenged myself this year to try to do a no spend. As a mostly full coverage stitcher I already have plenty of things to keep me busy.
I have a goal to become more active this year. Do I need to lose weight yes but overall I just want to be healthier.
My work of the year is intentional.

I have waffled back and forth on resolutions, and I haven’t made any formal ones in the past couple of years. As far as a word goes, maybe it’s “discover”. I had two major life changes last year. This year I’d like to discover and define who I am. I’d love to meet new people and make new friends. I want to go new places and try new hobbies.

Don't want to be too nosey but an occasional feature of your new home would be interesting along with ways you will display your cross stitching. Consistency is good for my plans, too.

Never done that :) I am awful at keeping to my resolutions in general. But I like your n1 resolution - keep moving is what I am going to call it and give it a chance to be a leading moto for this year :) let's see what we can do!

I will be more intentional this year in some of the same areas of life you mentioned and no resolutions.

Contentment Learn to accept what I have and be grateful. I knit, cross stitch and quilt. When I quilt everything is done by hand with no machine and quilt in my hoop. I been fortunate that I have collecting fat quarters for the last 40 years and have enough material that I will never use all upon my lifetime. I challenge myself never buy anything relating to quilt this year. Plus, stay home more so I can finish ufo’s this year and also make all family members Christmas presents that I have at home. But I have 3 grandchildren ages 4 3 and 1. I still want to buy them books and 1 board game with their homemade Christmas presents.

I love your suggestions for 2023! Since my husband died 5 years ago, I have not been able to get my cross stitching back. And now I have arthritis in my neck, I have to find new way to start stitching but I don't sweat the small stuff. I try to avoid stress too. Now I do what I can/want to do but not a lot at a time. You have the right idea about moving more and being more active .

Happy Year! So glad to hear you want to do more videos this year. I really enjoy watching all of your updates and progress. I too cross stitch, knit, and have a love of house plants. My word for 2023 is transform. I want to transform into a better version of myself. Congratulations on your new home!

My word for this year is motivation. Wind in my sails. Get things done. I struggle with anxiety and feelings of overwhelm. I just need to get past myself and start small. I'm looking forward to seeing what you get up to and learning from you! Love from Minnesota.

I just started laughing because yesterday I was telling my son that my word of the year was consistency. I like to think of life goals like my knitting/cross stitch goals. If I work a bit every day it adds up to something. The same applies to eating well, getting exercise, taking care of household stuff etc. If I just make habits of consistently working at my goals, I will get somewhere. Setting specific goals for a while year is difficult because we don’t know what life will throw at us. But if we know what habits we want to focus on daily it will leave us in a better place. Happy New Year and best wishes to everyone on maintaining focus !

My word for this year is patients, not getting all worked up with not achieving everything at once. Like you, I am moving and want so much done in my new home that I have been busy organising and looking at ways of decorating and gardening and getting a craft room. There is so much to do and organization is a big thing in my life at the moment. I'm very happy for you that you got your own home and it looks so nice so if you have any decorating ideas they would be great. Might use them in my own home. I'm also a plant lover too and always have admired your plants. Hope you have a great year and do all the things.😀

Yup very sedentary here. I’m going to try to move more. My daughter gave me a great book for Christmas. It is by James Clear called Atomic Habits. I am trying to read actual physical books. Yes, prioritizing is important. I really like your videos. There is a flosstuber Terry Lee Crafts who does wellness videos as well as stitching videos. I enjoy watching her too. Happy 2023!

    • @Lisa-vb3gn

Atomic Habits is a great book! I am fortunate that I have a disability that doesn’t allow me to sit and craft. I knit or stitch for 5 minutes and then walk a lap around the house. It took a little to get used to and I’m not as productive as people who sit-but my crafts aren’t sedentary. There’s always a silver lining 😁

Happy New Year! I appreciate your approach to your resolutions for the new year. While specific goals are very useful for many things, they can be defeating when not achieved to the letter. Like you, I have selected a word/phrase of the year. Mim
e is Be Intentional! I often find I get distracted and carried off in too many directions, so I'm trying to cultivate the habit to reflect on my actions and try to keep them more consistent with my actual intentions of the moment, day, etc... Wishing you much success with your resolutions and much happy stitching!

2019-New 2020-Adventure 2021-Courage 2022-Endurance 2023-Pursue These have been my words in these years. Believe me, you are going to be challenged from all sides. Consistency is a twin to constant. I pray you manage to use your word to your advantage. Challenge for reading, try switching your sound off and watching the closed captions, you will have a good laugh. Thanks for the difference you make to TH-cam.
