Poster paint is such an underrated medium, am i the only one thinking about it?
Isn’t that just gouache ??
I thought poster paint was tempera but it says gouache.
it's sad how can't use poster paint. doesn't work for me. eventho the color is so pop and bright and all.
it kinda is! there's a popular brand here called buncho that sells poster paints that most students use but even then a lot of people mistake them for watercolours. and outside of that, i don't see a lot of artists use this medium too.

Hello hello! Wow, this video is an absolute UNIT when it comes to showing my process to you all.
I finally tried making a pattern illustration, I hope you can get something out of watching how I went about planning out the piece and executing it.

thank you for your kind words :-). that’s one thing i forgot to show in the video, i used our school’s plotters to print big sheets of this pattern. I believe in the class she suggests tiling multiples sheets of more commonly found paper in order to construct one large piece..

Very beautiful pattern, I think in the future you can save time by using photoshop to edit> define pattern and then selecting layer>new fill layer >pattern

What a lovely video, and such gorgeous patterns. Several months ago, you used a certain piece of music in your bullet journal ideas video. I tried so hard to find its' name - asking you, asking friends, asking the actual Epidemic Sound people, trying Shazam - for the life of me, I was never able to. Eventually I gave up. Until finally, you used it and mentioned its' name in this video. The piece in question is Woke by Siny. :)

You have any tips on how to keep your brushes clean and in shape? Yours always look perfect! Or do you just buy new ones often?
Soap to shape them after cleaning
And when draining set them sideways before you put them up. I don’t do this but I don’t have any brushes-just water pens but I see this tip often. Also shape them while their wet.
Nicker poster paint is the exact same paint Studio Ghibli use to paint their background scenes, so good choice! I have priced it and it isn't cheap but it is a really great paint from what everyone says, and if the professional artists at Studio Ghibli use it for their movie backgrounds you know it has to be a good paint.
