Scam emails come in all shapes and sizes nowadays. Spam email is usually easy to identify, but scams are often well-thought out and very believable.
In this video, Josh walks through a recent scam email he received and how he exposed not only the fraud but also the real intentions behind the scammer.
Believe it or not, the scammer wasn't looking for money, gift cards, my social security number or bank information. Rather, this was an elaborate ruse to try to get more links to one of their websites.
It goes to show the length to which some people will go to get what they want, posing as a fake lawyer, threatening fake lawsuits and creating fake websites just to get somebody to believe the scam is real.
Don't be the victim of scam emails! Watch this anatomy of a scam to discover the trick to uncover the truth.

Yep, very useful! It pays to be really vigilant, even to the most little details available. Even a simple, extra dot on an email domain shouldn't be left unobserved. Remember that businesses, governments, or financial institutions will never email you to request you provide or change logins, passwords, or network settings. Beware of unusual links or file download requests in your emails.

I like that name Elementor. Sounds like the middle of the alphabet.
There are two red flag in that e-mail you got that come before any of those which you listed:
    1) you have surprise news and
    2) the paragraph containing _"... you could be liable... $150,000... response by... we will have to take legal recourse..."_ creating an emergency sense of urgency is a huge red flag.
If you're going through a bad time like a family emergency, recent financial stress, exhaustion and so on it's easy to be caught off guard. I try to keep in mind to treat all e-mail with suspicion and I've received a few doozies, like one from my brother that turned out to be because his company website was hacked. The e-mail seemed so innocent but it was from his company e-mail which we never use to communicate, it was directions to go to an event on a specific date (relating to his work) but we'd not already talked about going there, and the e-mail was sent at 3 a.m. It also had attachments which weren't referenced in the e-mail.

Some of those website links contain malicious script so that they can gain backdoor access to your computer/phone and therefore your personal details.

Got an email from ReImage telling me they had charged me 336.99 for repair software... I had made no purchases online for a very long time, and certainly had not downloaded any repair aps. I did not click on anything, but only checked my bank account and did a search on this... finding a lot about ReImage scams.

Maybe, but the email address was immediately deleted and so was the website. They just take it down and start all over again with a different URL.

If you think it's fake, follow my advice here: try to verify through some other means. And never ever give sensitive information to them.
