The only way to tell would be a "wake-off". Plenty of Mastercraft on my lake, and they call the G23 the king. I didn't ask for the title. I don't board or surf well enough to tell really. I agree about the thrusters. For $10,000, they seem a bit frivolous. IMO, the G25 does not perform as well.

My first ski boat was in 03 it was a top of the line Monterey I bit the bullet and paid 23 k. That would pay for a rubber raft with Orr’s today . Ridiculous!!
How come every manufacturer claims their boat is the leader in the industry? I've heard the same claims from Malibu, Mastercraft, and Pavati just to name a few. Pavati is the only true "leader" in my opinion, the rest are just making similar boats with each other and in a separate league from Pavati
We got a G23 once. Straight brand new and the thing would die out on the water with no warning. Dealer said it was the computer but after having this issue 4 more time we sold it for a Malibu.

Exult II pavati does not have the best boats. it’s a toss up between mastercraft and nautique then malibu is third.
