- Best Wakeboard Wakesurf boat in the World?! This was my first set behind it outside of testing and it was one of my most fun sets in years. The first time I tested this boat, I knew I'd be surfing a lot more bc the wave is so much fun. And the wakeboard wake...even better than a G. In this edit you'll get a quick tour of just a few items that set this boat way above the rest. And in my humble opinion, yes, this is the best wakeboard and wakesurf boat in the world, by a mile. And I have to mention that I jokingly say it's a 125hp 4 stroke engine...it's not. I came across this by accident I'm so glad to see Shaun Murray still out on the water. I grew up as a kid watching this guy and always wanted to meet him but never did. We owned some of Wake Tech so I met a lot of the other guys but man in the 90's I lived and breathed wakeboarding. These OGs are the true wakeboarders. They did wakeboarded well before there was any money, fame, and women. It was all for the love of the sport. In fact if my memory serves me well Shaun used to deliver pizzas at night to try to make money because in those days wakeboard sponsorships just didn't cover it. I never hear a bad thing about Shaun.
I didn’t deliver pizzas but still really enjoy riding for the fun of it! Of course I’m very thankful I can make a living with it as well!

Great to see some insight into the wake size of the Paragon. It’s also great to see the sport has progressed so much that there is now a market for that type of boat.
To all those comments that criticize the price, it is a luxury item, no one says a super car is overpriced, it is what it is, it’s aspirational, and hopefully those new features will filter down into the cheaper boats in the future

Exactly. You get what you pay for. By far one of the most luxurious boats to hit the market. Can't wait to see one in person but that's probably as close as I will ever get.

Thats not true! From a winch tow to a luxury boat tow, it's all relative to who, what and where you ride... from a jetski, right on up to a luxury tow boat it's all about the people and the fun. Envy and jealousy just sucks!!!

11:27 been riding for years and still just stoked! Love SMurray's riding. Also when he finishes the set...I assume his wife...is just like, that was so rad and is his biggest cheerleader. I get the same thing when I land my W2W toeside 180's from my wife....if only I could pull like a quarter of Shawn's tricks, my wife would be even more impressed. Actually my wife is just happy she doesn't have to circle back and pull me up out of the water again. GO SHAWN.

I can appreciate the talent of what riders can do today, but that MASSIVE raley is the most impressive thing to me. I miss the style and grace of the old school riders when there seemed to be more appreciation for taking tricks up and way out into the flats. Darin, Randy, Gator, Murray, Rob could all crank some huge stylish moves.

I’ve ordered a new wake boat every year. This year I decided to buy a 2008 210 team. It was a fantastic summer and the kids had a blast. But, I miss the new wake tech. It’s seriously worth the money to buy a new boat. I would rather spend time riding over setting up, dialing in, and moving people, for the perfect wake. Work hard, make good life choices, and the money will follow. Shaun has always been an inspiration. Funny, in the 90’s, we were reading dot matrix printouts of trick descriptions and just getting wrecked.

Beautiful Boat! Nautique sure has come along way since my step Fathers 79 Ski Tique. He put a big block racing motor in it. Fastest little ski boat I’ve ever seen, it could break 70 or so on flat water just straight gettin’ it.

You can have a great wake! And only for the price of an average house
Nautique, and other manufactures make wakeboats at lower price points, more affordable, relatively speaking as these boats are very expensive. The G23 Para is not a boat aimed at consumers who are in the market for a 250K $ house. This is a luxury item just like an other and they did a great job with it. If I could afford it and was in that market tier, I would definitely buy one. And that is exactly their aim.
Shaun is awesome! And the Super Air Nautique G23 Paragon is even more awesomenerest!! 🤔 Awesome times like alot! In all seriousness, beautiful boat really cool design. Everyone loves all the creature comforts and tech stuff, but you have to see it out of the water the hull is stunning. Correct me if I am wrong but it has some sorta stern thruster for docking assist, just everything on the boat has a reason the detail all the way to how compartments open up. It is absolutely gorgeous piece of work. Everyone involved should be very proud. I'd love to get behind one. Or drive it. Thanks for the demo Shaun!!

I got to surf the one Race City had last week (unfortunately didn't get to wakeboard because of a torn pec) and the wave is phenomenal! SUPER long! Guess I may have to get one when my warranty runs up on my '16....so long as you promise you'll autograph it like you did my G23! You and Steve are the man (men?)!!!

Calvin Horch thanks. I was just trying to point out that gouging is typically associated with some external limit on choice. Some unethical pricing, aka swindle. Correct Craft makes a supreme, Malibu makes Axis, Nautique makes a 230, or the GS line, there is also a heyday. And guess what, you can surf with all of these boats. So there is no force or coercion. I wasn’t intending to troll, but that is what I unintentionally did. Sorry.

That's a pretty incredible boat. Overkill for what we would ever need but if you have the ability to throw down like Shaun then it's worth it. Sick riding. You make it look effortless, which I know it's not. You also look like you're having so much fun, which is what it should be all about!

John Lions I can only answer a few and these are more of what I’ve heard. I’d assume it’s about 500 horsepower, nautiques usually run the 575 raptor so. For mpg, it’s a boat it doesn’t get good mpg lol. For plane it’s all dependent on weight, but with that engine I’d assume 30 seconds max. Just an assumption though. Fully loaded I’m not sure, but msrp is $260,000 five or take.
John is pretty close on his numbers. 550 super charger. Honestly one of the quietest in the market for that big of an engine bc Nautique is very intentional about their baffeling (sp?). Planing is pretty quick w the 550 considering you can have about 11K of weight. V Hull. Fully loaded cost... not sure, but starts at 265K

Its nice but i rather ride the cable park ramps and grinds are just way more fun to me rather then getting pulled by a boat and having the same wave over and over again but i still would like to have one just cause of how nice and comfortable it is 😂

Ok, so Shaun, is there a max height for the plylon in wakeboarding contests?
Not a max height but they just use the stock tower of the boat that is sponsoring the event.

Wonder why those Actuators are so loud..strange for all that dough no.🔥
That's just how actuators are . You have a small motor running at high rpm turning a very fine threaded rod that's most likely steel on steel so it last a long time and can hold the weight. Plus that boat has 8 of them all running at once. They could have gotten a quieter one or something like a ball screw but you would sacrifice strength or durability.
My guess is they are Renco actuators just like the surf tab actuators and they are loud, i could be wrong, i haven't looked over the paragon yet but i will at the boat show, if they are Renco's on the tower they should last a while alot longer than the surf tab actuators anyway seeing as how they wont be getting wet.
@@cpotts672 kinda what I was thinking. Just wondering why they don't use hydraulic cylinders on both. Would be able to do all the same things and could use vegetable oils to protect the water incase something happens.
@@bansheeman213 i think there are a few reasons why they don't, #1 cost, #2 serviceability, #3 room, a pump, resevoir, hydraulic lines, wiring takes up room, actuators are a simple design that only has two wires going to a connector that plugs into the boat side harness and are easy to install, that's my guess.
@@cpotts672 could be but in total cost it would be cheaper and could run the pumps off the boat batterys on 24v . Idk would be cool to see one set up on hydraulics and hear the reason why they did choose to go the way they did.
