I can safely say that this is the most bab of babby gaems he has ever played. The levels of bab and adorb are though any conceivable scale. "Wattam" heartwarming game.
Aaand he ends the playthrough talking about "delicious brown stuff". Fantastic.
Awww I was hoping Vinny would've unlocked the Prince and read his description where it tells the King of all Cosmos is basically an alcoholic, still happy Vinny got to the end and at least see his and Noby Noby Boy cameos.
huh, I was wondering if you could unlock him or not. I recall seeing him in screenshots but I couldnt for the life of me figure it out
@@agentredjackalfullstreams Yeah I don't remember exactly how, I think you have to change day to night and either go to the moon or they just appears. It's a really nice surprise to end the game with.

I'm not sure why the "welcome back mother" sequence got to me but it did. This game was cute
When I played Wattam at the ice cream cone part, I thought I was being ha ha funny until I realized that's exactly what youre supposed to do. And then Vinny just realizes it right away lol.
Also I stopped at the introductory of the new friend at post-game and didnt realize there's still a lot you can do with the world. So I'll have to check it out again sometime.

This game is so strange but in a very good way and the depth of story that came from this was totally unexpected but I am certainly glad that I got to watch you play this game with how chill and charming it is, thank you for seeing this the whole way through with us Vinny.

I keep a storage box of stuff for if I decide to ever become a mama, and I... legit want to add this game, LOL. It's so cute and silly and fun, it's probably a great early game for kids while also being pretty funny to watch as an adult.
its a little convoluted to control! but the kids of tomorrow should be able to parse it
@@the_e_letter I guess it depends on the kid of course, but I feel like difficulty/inability to progress properly doesn't bother kids as much as it does adults. I used to play Final Fantasy games constantly as a kid without ever progressing past the first story beats, because I couldn't actually comprehend turn-based gameplay. I'd just be tapping shit and doing god knows what for hours, having the greatest time LOL

23:30 Fun fact about snow in modern games that I only learned recently: apparently there's a thing called parallax mapping which basically creates a dynamic 3D depth effect on 2D textures for almost no performance cost. If you look at this effect from more of an extreme angle, you can actually see that the surface of the model remains flat and that it's not actually deforming the 3D geometry (a la tessellation), but you don't notice it at all when you're running around playing the game normally because you're seeing the "depth" from the intended angle. Think of it like one of those infinity mirror boxes where it's a self-contained illusion
Considering how taxing physics simulations have historically been in games, I was always confused as to how every modern game seems to handle this stuff with no problem. Turns out, it's just more technological cleverness and trickery, lol

Wattam might be baby gaem, but I has some undeniably good and ingenious music
Maybe he should've played this right after every Ghosts n Goblins stream.
Some people might say Wattam is not technically a game but visual novel or something but the puzzles are intriguing, fun to solve. And the storytelling goes smooth and surprisingly easy to follow. I certainly like how unique it can be and although it's not exciting as Katamari, but it has values of being jolly and thoughtful.

Just when I had forgotten how high I feel when looking at Wattam's gameplay, I see a mouth running about with its tongue out....making baby noises.
If the screen was black, and all we could here were the noises and Vincents narration, we would still have enough to be entertained.

Does anybody know if Vinny was affected by the hurricane?
I don't think he's said anything, but from the articles I've seen Staten Island did get hit pretty heavily in general by flooding. No fatalities reported for that borough or anything like that, thankfully. Can't do much than pray/hope that he and his home were ok for now.

That Slime Rancher stream was great, cool to hear you're still enjoying it on your own time. Wow the Fart is actually in this game! Wow just wow Moon's story was really inspiring. That was a beautiful ending, as random as the whole game was the ending was the best, it makes me happy you were able to feel the emotion of it too. I enjoyed this a lot, thanks so much for sharing this experience Vin, it was great, even with the poop friends and Fart without Reverb. 😏

while it's definitely possible to make great games in unity, I think you can ask just about any indie dev that shipped a game with it what their experience with it was and they will promptly curl up into a ball and cry.
