This is awesome! Complete noob here, I know nothing about electrical engineering and I feel inspired to jump in! Do the components have to be soldered directly to the board or can you use wire to relocated them?

Cheers! I was also a complete beginner just couple of years ago. The community is very helpful and supportive.
The components on the big Simple board can be placed anywhere and patched with wires at the bottom. Check the video course on learn.synthux.academy - it covers everything. And join our discord (link on the website navbar) for community help.

uhmmmm I just followed this tutorial and it seems like the controllers are not comunicating with the Daisy Seed. How can I figure which pins I didn't solder correctly?

Hey, sorry to hear that. let’s try to figure it out. First, is the board working? For example, if you only upload the oscillator example, can you hear anything? If so, the board, GND and VCC are connected properly. If you can’t hear something, you need to check pins 20, 29 and 48 - they should all be connected and the little bridges next to them should also be connected. Now to the pots - check pins 30-33. They should all be soldered correctly. Also check the little bridges next to the pins - these must be soldered as well to connect between the Daisy and the pots. If the problem persists, please join our Discord server and ask there. It’s easier to communicate there. Good luck!

@@SynthuxAcademy the board is working, and I can hear! I tried touching with my bare hand every single pin and it seems like if I touch pin 36 the signal changes. doesn't matter if I touch it on the daisy seed or on the back of the board. It also seems like that one pin gets really hot. I tried resoldering it on both sides and nothing changes. :(

You're not supposed to bake the daisy when soldering
