Seeing these symbols such as tree of life mural and ornaments with listening to sacred baroquean songs, I feel like time-travelling and even educational. What a beautiful visual treat to international viewers! No country in this world can have this type of ritual as U.K beacuse of modern equality spirit. However connecting your traditional ritual and symbol to collective unconscious of british people is not so bad. we need our roots for unity of community. Symbols and myth are important to human spirit as much as modern value.

Your absolutely spot on. I'm Irish living in UK and what is wonderful about it is, the symbolism, ritual, ceremony, and above all the appeal to God. It brings us to the higher order of things. A coronation is bigger than the individual monarch, it's Christianity and western civilisation on display. Yes the equality spirit as you put it so well is bringing all of this down, because it does not recognise that we are all unique in the eyes of God.

Apart from the modesty aspect, the most important reason for the screen is to allow our Monarchs private time with God. It’s always done this way.
