🍴CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE DOUGH INGREDIENTS:
►2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter, softened
►1/2 cup granulated sugar
►1 cup light brown sugar (tightly packed)
►2 large eggs at room temperature
►2 tsp vanilla extract
►3 cups all-purpose flour (375 grams),
►1 tsp baking soda
►1 tsp salt
►2 cups (12 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips
note: Recipe updated May 2020. We found the cookies to work best with 1 tsp baking soda instead and 1 tsp salt.

Things I've learned Along the baking:
1. Butter and egg must be room temp.
2. Baking soda as leavening gives more dense and chewy cookies where as Baking powder gives cakey and puffy cookies
3. Cookies come out the oven are not done yet. They set after 10 minutes

I figured that the baking powder might have something to do with the cookies being cakey and fluffy
Do you know how much baking soda would have to be used for this recipe? I didn't much care for the cake consistency of the cookies. :/

This recipe is legit. I have been binging trying out some of your recipes lately. The cookies are BOMB. I love that you don't have to refrigerate them before baking and that it is chewy while still being a bit crunchy on the sides. My youngest sister couldn't keep her hands off.
I've made these a few times and just love them!! Other recipes have come out terrible, but I've never had a problem with yours. My family and I thank you 😊

@@Natashaskitchen hello mam , can i use salted butter instead of unsalted butter and reduce a pinch of salt cause my salted butter has only 15mg of phosphorus (i think that's salt )?

It's 3am here in Michigan and I just got done baking these chocolate chip cookies, they turned out to be the best I've ever made, my husband suggested we use both milk chocolate and dark chocolate, best idea. I'm not a baker and will make these again soon!

I made these cookies for the first time at the beginning of this year and since then I make them every month because me and my family love them so much. The recipe is just so perfect and cookies always turn out super delisious. Sometimes I put mixed nuts instead of chocolate chips and they are delicious too! Thank you for the recipe ❤️❤️❤️❤️

This recipe was full of surprises, pleasant ones. I wasn’t able to use my blender to mix the dough, it’s old like me, so I had to put my back into it. However, a good wooden spoon is like a magic wand.
The recipe makes so many cookies and they tasted amazing! I made 20 cookies that day and 20 more the next day. They were so good my son substituted them for dinner, thank goodness he’s a grown man!
The next day, after refrigeration, I let the dough come to room temperature (mostly), and it was still workable and it produced the same cookies as the day before! Amazing!
They were delicious, big and soft - even three days later. This is the BEST chocolate chip cookie recipe I’ve used in years. Thanks for sharing.

I halved this recipe and it came out pretty good. I did three different types of Ghirardelli chocolate chips: milk chocolate, semi-sweet and bittersweet 60%. Since I used salted butter, I omitted the salt. Definitely making this again.

I made these and they are delicious, fluffy, and soft with just the smallest amount of crispy crust on the utter edges of the cookies.

Just finished baking your delicious cookies. They came out beautifully. This will be my go to recipe! Everything mixed well and looked right. I put the dough in the fridge for 2 hours and then made the balls of dough. I got 22 cookies out of this batch. And they're good size cookies. Just the right height. Thank you.

Made these a few times the past month and they always came out so delicious; the time I made them, I used the hand mixer, and they came out just like they do in the video, thick and soft. I'll be making them for my step-dad's birthday as well. Thanks again for this recipe and this is without a doubt my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe.

I'm always on the hunt for different chocolate chip cookie recipes. The texture and the amount of chocolate in these looks pretty good. 🙂 Giving the dough a day or two to "age" in the fridge really brings out the flavors. I do it with every recipe if I can wait.

Ok, just made the cookies and followed all measurements and instructions, and have to admit they are amazing. They have a gentle crisp, yet chewy and super moist. My new go to cookie recipe!

Zoya Fatima I’m not sure what could have gone wrong. One thing that I do is once the dough has been mixed, I place the bowl in the fridge for about 5 minutes as it makes it easier to scoop it out with the ice cream scooper. I suggest you try the recipe again and see.
Kudos for this recipe. It's so frustrating when cookies melt flat in the oven but these stay tall. And I love the crispy edges and soft inside. Thank you for the quick and easy video also!

These were amazing. The consistency of the dough is absolute perfection and I love that they are not ultra sweet but just right. I do have a convection oven so I baked at 325 for 13 minutes. No more flat cookies for me - this will be my go to recipe!

I've made this recipe so many times now. This recipe genuinely makes the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever tasted (especially compared to other TH-cam recipes). A few modifications I do: I melt the butter completely and use dark brown sugar in place of light brown sugar for maximum chewiness. Also, I add 1.5 tsp of salt and to get my eggs room temperature fast, I put them in a bowl of warm water. :3

Thank you so much for this recipe! Grains and Grit actually recommended your recipe as a base for fresh milled wheat berries! I ended up using 3 1/2 cups spelt (fresh milled needs a little more) and used sugar cane for the regular sugar and even with the conversion to fresh milled flour they were a HIT! I gave up on cookies a LONG TIME AGO because they always came out flat. But even with my butter too soft (due to a warm kitchen) they still rivaled hubby's cookies! Thank you so much! You have started to become our new "go-to" whenever we need a recipe even for meals! Like the philly cheesesteak sandwiches or the smashed potatoes.... keep up the great work!

Results: they came out so good I tried another recipe a long time ago and they were nasty these were so good and soft I put them in over fro 13 minutes and they looked raw but I let them chill and their delicious!
