- Chen (Melissa O'Neil) apologizes to Bradford (Eric Winter) for going behind his back to get him into Metro, but then decides she's not sorry because he wouldn't have asked her for help and her way worked out better. Watch 'The Rookie' TUESDAYS 8/7c on ABC and Stream on Hulu.
I can't forgive The Rookie for not showing us the morning after their first time and how the rest of the team reacted after learning of Tim and Lucy dating.

I was okay with not showing the 1st time afterwards. B/c they've paced things well. But I did miss that Harper & Lopez didn't have an smirking exchange & didn't make the baseball scene longer. And suddenly ended with Nolan & Bailey at her house.
But I wish by now they did?!?! And wished in his office, they could've at least kissed b4 going out for dinner. It's KINDA NICE that his office is very private to others!!!! Grey's is all glass!!!! Don't get me wrong it was cute, when Lucy says, "Do u want to skip dinner. And he's say, "No, I'm hungry. PLUS you're gonna need the fuel 4 later!!!!" And BOTH their expressions said it ALL!!!!! But I'm tired of the Elijah Stone storyline. I wished it would've ENDED last wk!!!!!! Loved when she pulled her hair around & he fastened the necklace. And accepted her "Non apology"!!!!! And that Lucy took it her apology back!!!!!
Maybe they’ll do a flashback kind of thing in a few episodes or next season(if we are lucky)

EXACTLY!!! It was their 1st Valentine's Day!!! I suddenly realize they have great ADVANTAGE b/c of where Tim's office is!!!! It's SO private!!! 😉♥️ I also wished on his 1st day w/ Metro, when he wz SO EXCITED & she told him, "He'd always be her boot!!!" They were just abt 2 kiss & rite b4, Tamara walks in.They easily cld've had Tamara walk in while Tim wz walking out the door. They actually hven't shown them kiss a lot, after being a couple. Actually I am 4getting their 1st kiss. Lol, I thot Lucy had 2 motives 4 calling the nite b4 their official 1st date. She had said "M/b go on a 2nd date & have our 1st real kiss." I do laugh a little bit abt that!! I get what she meant. BUT those other kisses, in her apartment & on the plane, as if they weren't real. Tim said, "IT DOESN'T FEEL LIKE PRETEND!!!!!" Cuz it wasn't!!!!!
One of the best episodes ever. When Lucy raised her hair to get Tim to put on the necklace and the look on her face 🔥 She is drop dead gorgeous 😍

I TOTALLY AGREE!!!!! I gotta a little worried, cuz when she walked in2 his office, Tim was still so mad at her, & didn't look up. I didn't think he'd be that ANGRY w/ her!!! I was a little ticked albeit it's a little different, Tim also knew Lucy was really sad, when she told Tim in transferring they'd c each other probably A LOT less & hadn't realized that there was no guarantee their shifts might not sync up. Lucy suddenly when she says "NO!!!!" Still reaches in 4 their gear bags while she saying , "I'm going 2 put my transfer in, in the morning. I think Tim KNEW all along, he was gonna to go Grey at the end of their shift, b/c they wld've argued then &:she had told Tim u're not taking a demotion & there's wz no Sgt's openings. "I checked." I thot Tim would c how now she was making a now making a sacrifice 4 him. I can't get the moment out of my head, when Lucy wz sitting in the bk row during roll call, so she'd keep looking out at Tim during roll call, b//c she wz worried abt Tim & hated seeing how miserable he looked. He'd been Court Liaison 4 over a wk!!! Harper knew what 2 do BUT equally warned her that Sgts talked & was EQUALLY tying I think L was also trying 2 figure protect Tim.
Grey DIDN'T KNOW & given Tim, " a Rock Star Review " IT was STILL Tim who got the work, but of HOW GOOD he was, his experiences in the LAPD & military. He was still hired b/c he was more than qualified & wz offered that position b/c he earned it!! As others pointed out, it was only really getting Fuji retired, & all the dominoes went cuz all the other Sgt's wanted 2 change positions.
BUT...I realized that they were gonna 2 have their 1st fight sooner than later, BUT I LOVED IT, when suddenly Lucy took her apology back & said, she'd end up transferring b/c she cldn't take seeing Tim SO miserable. U're rite, she wz so cute & sassy when she suddenly said, 'If u can't c that, I'm sorry BUT not sorry!!!!" Yeah, it was a little bit like when she'd pranked him, Tim could never stay mad her!!!! When he says, "Okay" & smiles & his demeanor suddenly changed, & said "I accept u're not non apology!!!!" I also realized how great it is that Tim's office is so private!!!! Grey's is ALL glass.
Agreed wholeheartedly!!!!! I LOVED when she apologized & validated his feelings. But she was rite, if she told him, he'd never let, & she couldn't stand 2c him that miserable, & would've transferred out. I loved his smile too!!!! When she told took her apology back & ended by saying, "if u can can't c that, I'm sorry BUT not sorry!!!!" And his smile & saying "Okay." And then "I accept your non apology." I noticed when the guy told Tim. He was a patrol officer. And possibly a TO cause he had 2 stripes like Nolan got when he became a TO. I have a feeling it was Smitty who gossiped about it!!!! It certainly wouldn't be those involved & glad that it was probably only patrol officers who learned of this. BUT in the shop, when she let it slip & suddenly said, "WE" as in "We were just trying to help!!!!" Tim SUDDENLY said, "WE!!!!
Who else was involved?!?!" She was more caught, lol 🤣😂 was too funny trying to get out of it. "We...I meant ME!!!!" But only digging herself into a deeper hole. It was everyone who loves Tim. And it was STILL to me, the main crew!!!!! Cop wise, Nolan, Harper, Lopez & Lucy. Yes...their significant others were there. But they're like family!!!! (Obviously Grey couldn't of & was good he wasn't!!!!) It's like when Tim told Lucy, "U saved yourself, referring to her ring." ULTIMATELY...Tim got the job, NOT b/c of getting him an opening, BUT b/c he was the. MOST SUITED & QUALIFIED!!!!! His police & military experience as a Sergeant!!!!! And unblemished record. And Grey gave him a Rock Star Review without a push FROM ANYONE!!!!!!
Oh, yeah, & also Smitty in the end, not in the planning BUT was pivotal in this. It's the only time, I felt Smitty wasn't a goof for like a minute, when he said to Lucy seriously & sincerely, "I'm glad it all worked out for Tim!!!" Idk, something to c he can be kind, serious & sincere, granted it was short lived!!!!

I like the fact that at the beginning of the episode, Bradford let her drive his truck. What a good dude and pretty trusting of that as well. I wanna see them stay at his place and have interactions with the dog.

They are way to cute. Tim was so hard trying not to smile when Lucy was explaining why she did what she did. The Sorry Not Sorry is perfect. Tim saying her outfit is missing something using his hands while saying it is so Lucy as that’s what she does. But The “ Do You wanna skip dinner” and the “No I’m Hungry” and The “ Your Going To Need That Fuel For Later” Woe go Timothy Absolutely Loved this episode and that fact that Tim let them ride together especially with it being there 1st Valentines Day as A Couple I Think was Beautiful. Thank You To The Writers You Made #Chenford The Best Couple Ever. Loved Every Scene ❤❤

I think they are treading on thin ice with it being in the office. I think they are both just trying to be respectful of the job. Plus he knew she wanted him to kiss her, and he knew she wanted to skip dinner. He is using delayed gratification on purpose, things are better when you have to wait sometimes
